New Honda CIVIC XI Oriel: Upgrade or Disappointment over Civic X? Detailed Review in 2023

We also have its owner with us who has driven this car for over 43,000 KMs. The new Civic Oriel has been criticized for the lack of features as compared to the outgoing Civic X. It has been downgraded by getting halogen headlights and slightly less powerful engine. Despite getting a 1.5L Turbo charged engine, Honda Pakistan has detuned the Civic Oriel to cope up with the regular fuel quality. Its engine produces 127 HP & 180 NM of torque.

Gone are the days when majority was honda fan. Now the time has changed, people shifted from honda to Sportage , Hyundai, sonata, tyuscon and MG. Honda's share has drastically come down. Cost Vs beneft. If we see the cost , the benefits are less. Price is too much.

Honda atlas never got to the point of fixing the steering rack issue in civic x. I had late 2021 model x, faced steering rack issue within less than 10k millage

Very impressive comparison, this is what set you guys apart from the rest of the car reviewers. The exterior of new Oriel is mature and the interior is just slightly different in terms of features. However, its the step in the right direction. Halogen headlights was indeed a huge disappointment, but then that's Honda Atlas, what else can you expect from them. The owner seemed very knowledgeable, that experience of getting the wheels stolen must've been painful (13:08).

imo, compared to exterior 11th gen is a slight downgrade, i loved the sharp curves and smooth line s that civic x had, however the interior of 11th gen is miles better then the old one. the new interior made me feel right at home, and it is an acceptable rendition of German cars. the good thing about civic 11th gen is that now we have turbo charged engine across all variants. But i love both of them

Same bro! I wanted to buy 11th Gen Civic after driving Civic 10th Gen for last 5 yrs. But, worst ever car - same quality issues, stupid Pricing Strategy - Sonata is the obvious choice if not Tucson.

Civic X had very uncomfortable passenger seat ,what about the 11 gen although its beyond buying range now but still the curiosity,did they improve it?

Not a significant difference in the new Civic either. An easy fix could’ve been a height adjustment lever for the passenger seat like the one offered in Elantra GLX, but unfortunately Honda didn’t offer it.

Grande has many advantages to this, ground clearance, underbody doesn't hit on road bumps, build quality and features are superior to this. Minimal maintenance cost and longer life.
