Thank you for the try-on and review. The powder is very subtle on screen. The bronzer tone looks very natural, again on my screen. The strobe blush is too shimmery as a blush and mood exposure is very natural. You could use strobe blush as a blush topper, only on the top of your cheekbones. I have texture, but I also have wrinkles, so I have not had any luck with Hourglass highlighters. Thank you.

Grace, I feel your frustration with these Hourglass powders and how they can emphasize pores and texture. I love Hourglass powders, but I don't understand why they don't listen to consumers at all. We've been asking for better shade ranges in palettes and this issue with the marbled powders, some of the powders have too much of the highlighter portion on the surface of the pans. Hourglass insists that the color/highlighter mixture is the same in each pan, but, far too often, the mixture is so uneven that it makes some of the powders impossible to use. I like some of the newer blush and bronzers that are in the quad packaging this year since they are solid, yet still contain the 'magic' Hourglass is known for. I think the cooler colors look beautiful on you, but in the end, you have to be happy with your makeup look. Your gorgeous, as always! Take care, Ginny

❤️It's so interesting that depending on the product, Hourglass powders can really blur or really emphasize pores. Dim Light, for instance, is a necessary powder for me when the discoloration still shows through after all of the layers & it blurs pores, too. However, the strobe powders are the exact opposite 😊 I agree that I like the non-marbled powders better, in general.

I like the mini better than the larger as I’m closer to your skin tone. So I’m very glad you did this review & comparison. I just have to check if I have the 2018 one as it is so confusing the different ones they have. So thank you Grace for doing this review!! 😊

Thanks for a great review! Do you prefer the Chantecaille blush/highlighter duo over the 4 pan hourglass? I have the bronzer and highlighter duo from Charlotte Tilbury currently and I don’t love how it looks on my skin. I’m looking for a soft highlight without shimmer.

I’m really not a fan of the strobe blushes. I can see the shimmer particles in sunlight and it drives me crazy 😜 I much prefer the original blush formulas. Thank you for mentioning it!

I'm hoping you do review Superstar glow CT. I'm Rouge and had opportunity to get but I had to see review first before I buy. Texture and shimmery glitter specks are deal breaker for me. Magic star is my holy grail but the new one color looks perfect peach. But it has talc so worried it won't melt and you will see more texture. Unlocked quad is absolutely gorgeous and I'm excited to add since I don't have original. I'm so appreciative of your voice for the med tan but not super tan skin tone,pore, texture concern and cherry on top hyperpigmentation 🤗🥰

I’m waiting for the Ghost Unlocked face palette to be back in stock on Beautylish as those shades work MUCH better on my medium/medium-warm skin tone. The Edit Sculpture face palette would be far too light & cool on me, and would seem to be more conducive to those who are fairer &/or cooler-toned.

Excellent review Grace. I agree with you and love the shade of the blush on your left cheek but I liked the finish of the blush on your right cheek. It looked very pretty in combination with At Dawn on your lips. I love my Hourglass ambient powder and their loose powder but will skip the six palette since I have several other bronzers and blushes (I’m not a big fan of strobe blushes) that I enjoy. All this unlocked/locked/ghost blah blah. Its annoying. Hehe I saw it and decided to wait & watch reviews. Too much going on sometimes to stop and take the time to decipher it all. Yesterday I did a whole face w/ the bronzer & strobe palette. It is pretty on the eye. The palettes are cute & fun to use but I prefer the larger pan size. I don't use the face powders much. Sit on my skin odd. If I'm going that direction, I choose the Guerlain pearls to buff out but not in the center of my face. You look beautiful from here! Thanks for the review.

😊The powder is the Chantecaille Hummingbird Blur Powder. It is very difficult to find right now, which is why I hesitate to use it on camera, but it really helps to fix things. They may be coming out with it in a repackaged form in the future.
