Oh how interesting! I’m glad they switched things up. I’m going to have to see this in person. I have yet to talk myself into buying one of the holiday palettes, but maybe this will be the year! I use those luminous powders underneath matte blush shades. It adds a little life to my cheeks. I buff it out with my Sonia G Face One Brush to blend it all together.

I pick mine up during the Sephora sale and they also tend to go on sale later in the year if you can wait till the hype is over. I got the last holiday palette on sale for $58 in Feb. My favorite was the quad as it was more mature skin friendly.

Do you think I can use the infinity powder on my shoulders? Iam an NW10 and love the blushes and bronzer but I can not stand glitter in my powders. I've just watched Morgan Turner's vid (she has both palettes) and I'm not interested in either of them. I would need the lighter of the two, however, it's not "mature skin" friendly at all. A shiny finishing powder (infinity), one shiny blush and a strobe highlighter just wouldn't work on my textured skin. Also : The "dark" one just isn't dark enough AND they know it - Why else would their promo pics depict a darker toned palette? Obviously, they've been busy with photoshop AGAIN!!!! Why do they have different formulas in each palette? It's almost as though they're pitting one palette against the other OR trying to get us to buy both in order to have all the formulas. Nah, I'm well and truly done with HG. I can't quite believe how super sonic fast you and Morgan have these vids filmed, edited and uploaded. WOW!!!!! Thank you sooooooooooo much Jena, you've just saved me from one expensive purchase. Much love 💜🌟💗🌟💜 PS : How was Greece? I hope you both had a glorious time. xxx

It is sad they added this infinity powder to this set, but this would make for a very pretty, "giant sized" eyeshadow instead, in my opinion! I would still get it, but it is missing a ambient finishing powder... but that a side its pretty glorious 🤗✨🌟⏳

I cant compare to the Hourglass sponge but a Beautyblender works great. I use it dry (dont want hard pan) with diffused light under my eyes and the effect is more bluring and less glowy than with a brush. As diffused light has some pearl partikles in it I looooove the toned down look!!

@@sodriscoll77 I haven’t used their sponge but I do use min beauty blenders which work great! I use minis bc of the small pan size. Works so much better and gives me better control than brushes. I have never seen anyone do this but it makes a big difference for me!

I still have some stuff from this brand but mainly use the the most soft highlighter, something with incandescent, and their dimlight powder i really love. It has 2 deep finishing powders and 1 metallic strobe. If the tones work for you it could be used as bronzer palette. Iam so fair (NW10 at darkest) that I can use Dim light finishing powder and the darkest tone in the metallic strobe palette as natural bronzers.

Thank you for your honest review. I had high hopes for this new release and was contemplating splurging for it. But now, I think it will be a pass and if needed I’d better buying a full size replacement for the finishing powder from Hourglass which has been one of my favorite since almost a decade. As I just reached 60, I avoid shimmer on my skin at all costs.

If I may pop in with mature light/med skin... I love the mini Ambient Lighting Edit Quad bc the blush was a natural looking buildable plum, the bronzer mid toned and not too glowy, and the highlighting powder was natural looking. The finishing powder was luminous but not a strobe (which I find to be too much). I don’t know if it’s still available on their website though. Maybe they will come up w a new one for the holidays. The quad size is easy to stick in a purse or travel bag.

I quite like the idea of the one large pan, it’s the finishing powder so in theory you’ll use more of that: seems daft to have multiple finishing shades if they all look roughly the same on the skin. Also means you can get a bigger brush in it which is great with a face powder xx
