Thank you!! I'm starting back to wearing makeup after years off of consistent wear, and I'm so interested in Ilia's products! Serums are really appealing to me, I've been deciding if I want the foundation and super tint, super tint and c beyond, or c beyond and foundation 🙈 after your video, with my finances I'm likely going to go with the super tint for daily and the foundation for filming, plus some similar (to the C beyond) vitamin C skincare products and a Supergoop dupe. When I can afford the C beyond I may get it but I want a bit more coverage than that and can get the benefits in my care routine instead, and I'd rather put that extra cost difference towards their concealer.

I cannot figure this out for some reason it pills up on me I have tried it with putting nothing on my face before hand and then different creams and serums and it’s so strange. I put on a serum wait a few minutes and then put it on one day and it did not pull up so then I did it again another day and it pulled up using the same serum that it didn’t pill up with. I’m so confused. I wouldn’t return it because it’s so expensive but I do like it and if I could find a shoreway that it works I would keep it so I’ll keep trying for a few more days maybe I’ll figure it out.

This Beyond C has taken some trial and error for me. At first, I was applying too much, to assure I got the SPF. It was making me look too greasy, not glowy, even with foundation and powder. Also, for me, it pills if you apply it over any other products. Maybe if you wait a while, after applying your normal skin care, it won’t pill. For me, it works best when applied to clean dry skin, and sparingly. I give it 20 to 30 minutes to sink in, then use a light layer of an SPF foundation on top, applied with a sponge without rubbing. The results are a nice soft glow. Being an all in one skin care product, I don’t see the need to apply this over other products.

👋 saw your comment and wondered if you’ve tried a cica/tiger grass based concealer under makeup? Dr Jart makes an awesome green tinted tiger grass cream that can be used as a primer that really helps reduce appearance of redness!

Great review and comparison! But these are passes for me. Way overpriced for what they are. I would rather just use my regular skincare instead of having it in my spf. I would rather just use the DRMTLGY tinted moisturizer in place of the Ilia serum. Or go with a Korean bb cream. Nonetheless, I appreciate the detailed video 🧴☀️👍

I was looking at this and was intrigued but I'm confused is it a serum SPF or skin tint the other is like SPF with alittle coverage and I'm confused what this is suppose to be because it doesn't seem to be a tiny tiny or enough product for SPF so it's just a vitamin c serum.. I'm lost lol I love the org one and I know what it's suppose to do and be but this one kinda says it all but to me it sounds like a vita c serum with alittle SPF.

Yeah this is a true serum that contains great skincare ingredients but it's also a sunscreen with a sheer tint. So, if someone wanted a simplified skincare routine with just using 1 product that does it all then this would be a great one to go with..

Both sides look beautiful. Though..I think I’m going to stick with my Super Goop/Glow Recipe Watermelon Sunscreens combined with ILIA super serum skin tint foundation or other daily foundations. I do like your super serum skin tint side better for several reasons. Time is a huge important factor, it definitely has more of a foundation like coverage and better price. A Hat Trick in my opinion lol! Your tutorials are awesome! Thanks for sharing!

It seems like it would very difficult to get the correct amount of SPF applied with these products. And it looks like they require a lot of "tugging" on the skin. I don't think that my sensitive skin would like that.

2-3 finger lengths of product will give you the maximum amount of coverage. You could always apply a separate sunscreen before hand as well. This product has a liquid texture and I haven't experienced tugging.

I feel like there is a lot of confusion with this product. It is not a makeup product like the skin tint. It is an spf with vitamin c. It shouldn’t give you coverage. And it can be used as your one and only spf and vitamin c.

I feel like Ilia did not market this new serum correctly. For $80, it should be a one-step spf/serum/skin tint, and it should at least contain 15% vita C. I would not pay more to get something that is less functional.

If you think about it, it's 1 product that does it all and a lot of people are looking for that simplified skincare routine. 15% is a great concentration of L-Ascorbic Acid but not everyone can use that strength. 10% is a great strength as well and it's still going to be just as effective as a higher concentration.
