why do they come with a dvd system at all ? why not a bluetooth media system that is independent of the front system that allows occupants in the rear to play anything you can get on your phone/ipad/tablet/laptop. with all the accounts we have today from netflix,youtube,amazon tv, hulu ext ext and the ability to pre download movies and shows by the season isn't a dvd system basically useless. are people really still buying dvds?

Adding 2 more gears didn't make a difference from the 8 speed in MPG. Have a 17 High Country 6.2L and it's averaging 22 MPG all day long. Paying for 2 extra gears don't see the point just another money grab and before I get any comments NO have no issues with the 8 speed it works flawlessly.

it doesn't make sense to have such a tall gear ratio in a truck that has a transmission with a final transmission gear ratio of .64 that weighs 6000# ..... you have to go 80mph with a 3.3 rear gear , a .64 overdrive , 31 inch tall tire , in order to be at a cruising rpm of 1831 rpm . so if you have any kind of load or even a couple passengers and you are doing 75mph you won't even be able to stay in the final drive ratio due to the lack of torque , it will drop you into 9th gear at 75 mph, 31inch tire, 3.3 gear , .69 9th gear ratio youll be at 1851.... so unless your completely empty and doing 80 mph you will never be able to use 10th gear let alone 4 cylinder mode in tenth gear. Basically it should come with a 3.73 instead . 3.73 final , 31 inch tire , 75 mph , .64 tenth gear puts you at 1900 rpm that should be enough rpm to hold tenth gear and use 4 cylinder mode on flat surfaces. IMO

from what i can tell from news articles, GMC will be all american made but the Terrain will be hecho in mexico just like all the silverados (400,000) so its like going back to the 1970's when GMC was different and better than Chevy by using only 4 bolt mains and never using any parts from the first year of production like the 1984 GMC's didnt come with the 700r4. if you wanted the 4 speed you had to buy a chevy...i know also that chevy used to make v8's in Mexico, US and Canada and the best blocks were Canadian and second best was American and Mexican blocks were useless for anything but a boat anchor

My thoughts exactly, Gavin. Andre et al, unless you are testing a turbocharged vehicle your best standing start performance will be taking off with the engine just above idle speed, say 1000 RPM. This allows the torque converter to flash to a higher stall speed and thus higher available torque to the rear wheels. Torque is what counts during acceleration runs!
