The battle is from within not from without. Adam is struggling on the inside and he is unable to disguise this fact. His struggle is everyone's struggle. The familiar is tempting but it is a trap , the unknown is terrifying but it holds the promise of something better. Will he stay here in Florida ? This is what keeps me tied to this channel, that is, what direction will the Heroes journey of self discovery take. Moreover, Adam sees that we have entered a new and uncertain Era that holds out only god knows what. This country is transforming at warp speed and Nobody knows what is going to happen to him from one moment to the next, or how one will bear it. This is irreducible fact that gnaws at him. Adam ventures off to the Disneyland park to overlay and drown this uneasiness with childlike gaiety and peruile sentimentality but it falls short. Adam is an extension of ourselves - he represents our fears , dilemmas, doubts, regrets, hopes and dreams. And he is not a fictional figure but a real person. How can you not follow his channel?

Yeah, here is SoCal we have no humidity and darn few mosquitos. Heaven on earth, that's where I live. Florida is pretty, though. Just too flat and humid for me. Adam I really enjoyed your "abandoned places" type videos; there is probably more of that than most people think across the country. Especially when you come across abandoned theme parks, etc.

I don't think we'll be seeing too many abandoned videos. After getting kicked out of Universal Orlando a couple of years ago for the video he posted going behind the scenes in the nickelodeon building and being kicked out of Disney World for other videos, he's been staying away from abandoned places. I really enjoyed the videos as well. Dan Bell has a whole series on abandoned malls and such if you're looking for something in that genre.

Really appreciate these heart-to-hearts. It feels good to hear some of my own 40+ thoughts (and struggles) echoed back. It's easy for folks who are not front and center to say, "Do what you want..." Congrats Adam! I was a little surprised at your resolution. Back in the day, when you decided to quit your job, move into your van, and begin your run with the "Second Channel, Daily Vlog Channel"... you didn't do it to appease whatever viewers might be watching. You didn't feel the need to explain why you made those decisions. You just did it, because it's what you wanted to do. It was bold. It was risky. It was interesting. And it captivated the KZbin world. That was, and still is, the magic formula - continue to document your adventures, the way YOU want to do it, share it with the world, and ignore the critics. There's no need for an explanation. Personally, I enjoy your SoCal content. The movie history, the interesting places, and the way you provide information and context to what you are sharing. It brings another perspective to where I live. So, I was super excited when you moved to Hollywood. And on a personal level, the opportunity to meet you at Disney was super cool. But don't lose sight of what made you successful in the first place - following a thought or a whim to a new adventure somewhere across the country, sometimes at the drop of the proverbial hat. Most people don't have the time or resources to just pick up and go off on some random adventure or roadtrip across the country - and I think that is what makes it so fascinating. Good for you, Adam. Keep doing what you know is right for you no matter what anyone else says. Enjoy everything you do. Like these chats. Have noticed how happy you’ve been being in Florida.
