Seriously, best Omnipod site change ever! I am so happy that showing her perseverance and positivity has paid off. With each new site change, Addie is becoming more and more brave and resilient with the new pump.
I've never thought I'd be excited about an insulin pump, but I'm excited this process is getting easier and Addie is feeling super confident about herself. The omnipod 5 has literally been life changing.

Hi, I’ve posted positive comments on here but this is a question…. When someone has diabetes is their diet meant to be restricted/balanced? Is it better to reward with an activity etc rather than food?

Type 2 they restrict the diet to try and get the sugars under control. Type 1 that will never work, its about balancing the sugars and insulin, the devices do this (mostly) by themselves.

Some people choose to restrict their diet to limit the need for insulin, but insulin is 100% safe to use and almost always necessary in some form for type 1 diabetics. We don’t restrict food in my house nor do we have an issue with using it as a treat or reward.
