I love your video thank you for bringing this technology to us. I’m looking for something very much like this but I want OCR part of the package. I was curious about the phone could you use third-party apps with the glasses. Like money reader or a barcode reader.
@VisionForwardTechConnect2 жыл бұрын
You can use third party apps on the phone, but they won't integrate with the glasses in any way at the moment

In prior videos you had said the Irisvision Live was very good in low light. Did you test the Irisvision Inspire in low light? If so how well does it do in low light?
@VisionForwardTechConnect2 жыл бұрын
I meant to test that and mention it in the video but it completely slipped my mind. The Inspire does have an LED light on the front for low light conditions, but I'm not sure how adaptive the camera is to low light. I'll test it when I'm back in the office next week and let you know.
@VisionForwardTechConnect2 жыл бұрын
Okay, I tried out low light performance this morning, and the Inspire is definitely inferior to the Live in this regard. It doesn't brighten then image up in anywhere near the same way.

Wearables have all had a problem of viewing at a distance. How does Inspire perform in distance viewing compared to the Irisvision VR headset? Is clarity better at a distance?
@VisionForwardTechConnect2 жыл бұрын
Hi Charlie, what issues have you had with distance viewing? I would say the Inspire is worse unfortunately, as it is more pixellated at higher magnifications than the IrisVision Live.
@charliepryer60262 жыл бұрын
@@VisionForwardTechConnect I have experienced problems with all wearables viewing at distances of 20 feet and greater. I am in constant search of a wearable with good clarity at greater distance. I have tried eSight 3, seeBOOST, IrisVision Live headset, Gear VR with Relumino. Thank you for reviewing IrisVision Inspire and for your reply.
@VisionForwardTechConnect2 жыл бұрын
@@charliepryer6026 No worries! The trouble is that these wearables use digital cameras, and inevitably as they zoom in they become pixellated. Give it time and increased resolutions will solve this issue.

this "device" ain't that great, certainly not $3995 worth of great, you can get that smartphone for as little as $700 even less if it's on contract, if we were able to just by the headset and use our own phones and download software it'd be way more affordable and accessible to more people who need them instead of trying to profiteer off of the disadvantaged who are more likely not to be able to pay the asking price

I've had first hand experience of IrisVision Inspire and the company's awful after-ssales customer service. I bought it, after being told I'd get a 30 day trial and no quibble return for a refund. I had the item approx 48 hours and returned it. The device itself did not help me at all, I'm severely sight impaired (RP) and it was a hinderance, not a help. It instantly magnifies whatever you look at, and the display is very grainy, not clear. It does have diopter adjustment, but fine tuning that made no difference at all. I'm 99% sure the device I received had been previously returned and refurbished too, the way the item was packaged was a dead giveaway. After I returned the item to irisVision, at a cost of $205usd (Inc. insurance cover), I waited for IrisVision to acknowledge receipt. And I waited. No response for weeks. So, I checked the tracking, it had been delivered 2 weeks prior. I included all my invoices/covering letter explaining the return etc and nothing. I emailed and no reply again. I called my bank for advice and they said open a dispute for refund not received so I did. IrisVision contacted me to say they had won the dispute, but never contacted me prior to say thank you for returning the item etc. They tried to convince me to take a 70% refund, but the bank advised I ignore them and cease communication. I'm still fighting to get my money back and waiting for the bank to complete their investigation. IrisVision challenged the chargeback and instead of issuing a refund, doing the right thing, they have chosen to delay me even more. IrisVision clearly do not honour the 30-day trial/return/refund policy. So Buyer Beware!!! And or pay for your device using Credit Card and if you have problems, go for a section 75 refund under the consumer credit act. The bank will refund you on the day you return the goods. IrisVision products are bad, but their after sales customer service is 100x worse. I run my own business, and I would never treat my customers the way they've treated me.
