I was so excited at first for the Golden pallet and seeing the repeated mattes crushed that joy. The original had the random teal colors and they made it more unique and inspiring, it was more than the sum of the parts. I can’t pay $70 just for Cava.

As a fellow pale olive I can assure you those lightest shades of the Natasha Denona powder foundations are far more yellow than they appear in the product photography. I swatched them in store and bought one and it’s quite yellow

The Golden palette is actually pretty amazing!… I have the same complexion and hair color as you do… only difference is blue eyes… and this is the ULTIMATE neutral palette for fair toned people… the yellow/beige undertone base to all the shades is perfect for those of us that don’t do well with orange/bronze undertones in neutral palettes!!!!! Seriously recommend this palette to anyone who wants a non orange based “warm” palette ❤

In terms of the glossier lip balm, they changed the tip when they changed to the vegan formula (about the time they came into Sephora), so I think the public outcry over changing the formula overpowered the good news of the new tube design. (They did just recently announce that they are going back to the og formula, so we can all rejoice that we now get the better formula in the better tube!)

Very true that we don’t have to go broke trying to own or even aspire to own every beautiful thing that crosses our path. I’m an avid thrifter so I have to stop and tell myself to just appreciate things so much. I just found an amazing chest of drawers from the 1890’s with carved flowers and a marble top for $150. This would have been a no brainer if I didn’t just bring home a flamed maple chest of drawers from around the 1830’s or 40’s that I found last month for $40. I already found “the one” and I don’t have space to properly appreciate another of that type of thing. The world is full of beautiful things and if we are lucky we can own a few of them. Others we have to admire and leave behind. In my head I compare it to my favorite painting. I’ll never get to own The Night Watch and that’s ok.

Re: the refy concealer: actually the lightest shade 01 is nearly white! I am also lx010 in rose inc and 000 in rms revolve foundation. And I have shade 03 in the refy concealer! And it’s a great colour actually! It is just slightly darker than lx010 rose inc concealer. HauteMess Tom also has a video on it!

My love, this may already exist and if it does then I apologise for right now I am too tired to look through the channel, but please could you do a video about good brow pencils and colours (emphasis on the colour part) for someone with olive under tones? I did not realise that my hatred for brows stems from a seemingly cool tone colour pulling warm tone on me until it hit me one day that that would be the olive tones. When you revealed the Natasha Denona Golden Collection 2024 I just felt soooo bored lmao. That Refy under-eye concealer looks cool! I am not a concealer girlie but I sometimes wish I was! I've seen and heard from other people that Cava isn't the same. I'd be interested to know if the Refy concealer is a good shade. My Sephora doesn't have them in store to swatch and the closest that does is 5hrs away. Also Glossier changed the balm applicator when they went vegan and entered Sephora. They recently announced they are going back to the OG non vegan formula due to complaints.

The Gisou mktg is giving me old-skool The Body Shop vibes? ABOUT TIME Glossier got rid of that awful scrapey metal nozzle -- but I was so unimpressed with Balm Dot Com in general (almost zero pigment, wears off crazy fast, hyper-sweet scents ugh) that I never bought again. Alllllways interested in a potted cream/gel eye glop (no fallout like in dry powders! easier to blend!) but the ColourPop Jelly Much have an ingredient that makes my eyelid skin sting which makes my eyes water and ruins my makeup, the RMS ones and the similar Surratt don't set or dry down and just end up a creasy mess. From the reviews I'm seeing so far, the ABH look suuuuuper unimpressive -- extremely sheer, and not long-lasting. Not gonna mess with that when I can get a delightful wet-look sheer shimmer with a light application of any number of sheer-sparkly powder or cream shadows. DEF pulling the trigger on one or more Paco Rabanne lip dealios, tho! (And for the uninitiated, Rabanne hit big fame in the 60s for the minidresses you've undoubtedly seen made of giant silver paillettes or chain mesh and big aluminum rectangles constructed kinda like Mod Brigandine.)

I would LOVE a full brand deep dive into RMS beauty. I think Beachwalk Betty might actually be a bronzer that you would be able to use, but they also they have a cream bronzer that caught my eye, and Crystal Slipper might be a powder blush that you might like, and I am overly interested in the concealer. I know the Golden palette is not it, really. But I would be interested in how she performs in regard to the original. Is the new Cava as good as the old one. I'm not thinking about getting this one but I'm naturally curious. But this palette is unfortunately too mid-toned for my skin colour. Like a lot of her palettes 😐 Even Pat McGrath hasn't excited me for a long time now. I'm a fairly new customer of hers. I got 3 palettes in the last 3 years, which are older ones and everything coming out since the Bronze something holiday edition has just been redundant. Her Motherships even longer then that. The only exciting release lately has been the 'Avatar the last Airbender' release from Lethal Cosmetics. Since being more conscious about my beauty consumption I realised how quickly trends get recycled.
