Hi Peter, If I had a camping fridge running off the 500P what battery protection switch would be recommended on the fridge to protect the power station - Hi, Medium, Low?

I presume your fridge settings correspond to the low voltage cut off so you don't drain the battery source. The Lithium Power Station key feature is the voltage is consistently high and you can use almost 100% of the power supply at that high voltage. So theoretically, your fridge setting should not matter at all. The fridge setting options from my understanding is to prevent draining the main cranking battery of your car. Using the power station means that is no longer an issue to worry about. Hope my understanding of your question is correct and is helpful.

Thanks for the video and for the discount code. However, please note I just used your code and the discount was only $20 on a $1038 purchase - so, was a 1.9% discount, not 10%. Not sure if Itechworld are honouring your discount code at present?

I did contact ITechWorld about this. Sometimes ITechWorld run a special discount program, like Black Friday, Cyber Monday etc where they offer extra discounts across their range. When they do that, that also reduce their affiliate partner discounts approximately. The net result is still a great deal for the customer. I’ll update my description to say “up to 10%” discount, depending on extra discounts offered by ITechWorld. Hope that clarifies the discount.

Specs look brilliant, is 2000 cycles correct? Everything else is 500 /800/1000 max cycles... what makes this one have more cycles please?

Yes, according to iTechworld website, the New 500P - Life cycles - Greater than 2000 Cycles to 80%.

@@The-Wise-One : Not sure on the design, may have something to do with cooling requirements. Nevertheless, I was also surprised, mainly because I assumed and never asked the question or check the specs. Having said that, I'm using my Power Station as a portable device, so if I am driving, I tend to use 12VDC rather than 240VAC in the car. Therefore, I can charge and consume power at the same time. So, no issue for me.

The iTechworld 500P can not be used to jump start a flat battery. iTechWorld make a range of special portable units for jump starting a flat battery. Depending on the size of your car, small, medium or large (4WD etc). I have the JS80. Works like a dream. I have reviewed it on my channel.

Just an update. There has been a recall on the 500P re a firmware update for the battery manager system. For now, that is why the current unit has been taken off the website. I will be receiving more information soon. I will do an update video once I have all the info.
