That extra money would have gone to one of the many deep money pits known as the MTA budget.

That money would actually go to good causing, like helping build the long overdue 2nd Avenue subway. Congestion pricing isn’t to make drivers avoid it, it is to get drivers to switch transit like PATH, MTA, LIRR, Metro North and other buses that are actually really frequent and to help fund the subway

As someone who lives in the zone, I'm a winner. I don't travel in the zone. I do everything out the zone. The thought of having to pay $15 every time I go home is very upsetting.

Maybe you wouldn’t be paying that 15 dollars if you just took the fucking subway, and don’t try to tell me that the subway is bad, the subway is amazing and is extremely extensive and can basically get you anywhere in Manhattan. There is absolutely no reason you should be driving a car through Manhattan, especially if you live in Manhattan where you live right next to the subway

@@louisjohnson3755 Why would I take the fking subway? I don't do any business in midtown. I don't go to midtown and if I did, I would take the fking subway fool. You ASSuming too much. But that is what they want you to do. Think that Manhattan is nothing but wealthy businesses and forget all the residential neighborhoods. I drive out of Manhattan. I take the bridges and highways. I avoid midtown. Yet I will still be forced to pay to go home. You guys just want to hand from Manhattan drivers. I can't do $300 worth of groceries through the subway fool. The subway cannot accomidate carts up and down tranfer, etc. and the prices in Manhattan will only get worst if you get your handout. No reason the congestion tolls should affect the non-congestion ares of Lower Manhattan

@@WilliamBilly-i6q just because a transit system is good, doesn’t mean you always have the funding to keep service running frequent, also building the 2nd Avenue subway is very expensive and requires a lot of money. Also almost all subway lines are very crowded and majority of people in nyc use public transit and people who use cars are actually a minority and ridership on MTA subway is 1.7B a year
