As someone who lives in Brick NJ, near the bay I have gone past this house on my dad’s boat. And I am watching this in 2024 and soon it’s gonna be demolished which I am pretty sad about! RIP Annie and Charlie.

My family owns this property. Due to hurricane Sandy insurance wouldn’t pay full for the damage done due to the hurricane and it was later deemed unsafe to go onto the island

Wish you would share all about the property when why how it was built your experiences memories of being at the property??? Would love to hear everything.

I went to long beach island every summer as a kid. Growing up the homes always had a odd mystique about them. Anyone remember the Mickey house? There was just something amazing about the architecture of all these homes

Maybe the Coast Guard could use that island for employees ( Coast Guard officers ??? ) who work alternate shifts / odd hours - always ready to be dispatched for Emergency/Rescue Calls.

Such a good idea! It’s sadly being demolished tho. It’s even been in court to see if it should be demolished. After around 20 ish years it’s gonna be demolished😢

So sad. Watching now on big screen but commenting on my phone. Wish we could see inside.

Came across this video, but don't like they way it's filmed. Not like usual explorers who have a constant streaming video and we see it as they see it. This is more like jumping from scene to scene without really looking around much. Gives an idea of the inside though. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWbZnGOsnLlpd6s

Hello, are you going to tell us anything about this place?
@MrRaymond10213 жыл бұрын
That must of been one hell of a house to live in, when people actually lived there? It's almost unreal when you think about, how can someone just desert a place like that? Was it flooding? Did they feel danger? Was it weather related? Or was it that they just had the money to buy an island, and build a house? Either way, thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍
@@mikeblack3657 your the best for sharing that dude thanks 👍

Wanting is often sweeter than having. Go out for a bite, a quick run to Wawa, acme, anything is a major hassle. Bad weather you feel more alone and isolated and it’s not the Caribbean where it’s beautiful weather year round. It’s also really glorified marshland average water depth like 3 feet. The whole thing was a mess waiting to happen.

They’re now getting ready to demolish the house. Such a shame, I remember the house when I was little and it was well kept and people lived there.

How deep is the water around the island? It looks shallow in places.

More than likely it was Hurricane Sandy. That's my guess...
