I didn't bother with chaos theory knowing a lot of elements from Dominion that I don't like were carried over. And hoping Rebirth will be what Dominion should have been. Man, there was a moment after Dominion where I seriously told my gf "Something is wrong. Klayton used to absolutely spam us with Dominion content and now there's a radio silence in his channel. Not even a review, nothing. I really hope he's fine, because that is really weird". Like seriously, we had multiple conversation on that topic and I must admit as a fan of your channel I was a bit worried. The "oh, he sure just hates it" was the most possitive scenario that came up to my mind at that time. Anyway as for Rebirth I'm sceptical as hell. I want it to be good, I hope it's going to be good but even with Gareth Edwards, David Koepp and Steven Spielberg I still hesitate to believe it's gonna be good. Keep in mind guys, David Koepp wrote Indy 5, alright? There's not a single one writer/director/producer that is immune to studios influance, corporate greed, pushing agendas and so on. George Lucas was trying to warn us about this problem way back in 70s.

Currently rereading the original novel and it gave me an idea of where they could go with the new site that’s found. There were two lines early on that stood out to me: 1. Wu states in the early days of compiling Dino DNA they had no idea if the DNA they were extracting was even from a dinosaur. I’m personally hoping this is NOT a hint at human hybrids to come, but maybe “Site A” ended up creating some kind of uncontrollable monstrosity that gave them all their first real scare. Which leads me to the next line that kind of stood out. 2. Eli and Alan notice the area they’re staying in (hotel or lodge) appears to have had a change to the original construction plans part of the way through building. They noticed enhanced security measures like bars on windows and tempered glass that looked like recent additions. What if this is a hint that there was already some kind of disaster on another site that caused them to reinforce the guest area on the main resort after it had been constructed?? And yes maybe the extra security is a result of the worker being attacked in the beginning but given how shocked they all are later that the raptors could get on the roof, idk if the extra security on the roof was intended for break out raptors. Feels like it was meant for something bigger…

Dude, Jurassic Park/World movie franchise from the beginning as been relatively kid friendly compared to the Jurassic Park novels. Thematically, the Jurassic World trilogy feels even more Crichton inspired with dinosaur hybridization and yes, the locust plot in Dominion. I could absolutely imagine Michael Crichton writing a novel about a genetics company using hybrid locusts to spread genetic modifications to crops only for it to go horribly wrong. Yes, the locusts plot in Dominion should have been done in a different science fiction movie but that plot is so Crichton inspired that I can't help but love it in that movie.

I hope they make it more grounded. The world trilogy was mostly non stop action, with limited horror. Would love to see them try to make dinosaurs behave more realistically ( of course thats hard we have no reference!) But it just wasnt as unsettling or fear inducing seeing dinosaurs that acted more like characters, not wild/unpredictable animals. Also I miss how when a large carnivore showed up it was a huge deal, lots of suspense etc. I don't know if anyone has the same feelings but just my 2c

I really loved Jurassic World. Fallen Kingdom was OK and Dominion broke me. I got 12 tickets for my fam because I was so hyped and Jesus it was a disappointment. They strayed so far away from what I loved. All I can do or any of us can do is hope they see that it was headed in the wrong direction. I pray the next entry is better than the last 2 installments. Gareth is a great choice and getting Spielberg more involved is promising. I loved the 2014 Godzilla so lets hope so!

In my honest opinion I think it's going to be the same tone as Dominion but it's going to be different at the same time. I understand that fans are divided when it comes to Dominion but I want to try to tell you universal is not going to ignore the fact that it made money universal is not going to dump it because some fans have a problem with that movie it's all about the money. I really don't believe it's becoming too kid friendly but at the same time you got to remember the studio want kids to be invested in the franchise so they can buy the toys and let's not kid ourselves some of these toys are freaking cool. When it comes to camp Cretaceous you said they went off the rail maybe so but that's because they're trying to appease the new generation of Jurassic Park fans mostly kids. One thing I come to realize that the franchise is never going to be the same as most of us older fans wanted most of the people that grew up with the original Jurassic Park are older why is it important for the franchise to appease older fans they have to appease newer fans as well the lesson here is that you're not going to be able to appease everybody

I think they should go the star wars route (without becoming quite so prolific and with more quality control). Have the main trilogy try to draw in young/new fans & the have side projects like Andor/The Mandalorian/Rogue One that can cater to an audience that wants more grit/darker tone. Spielberg Being involved really ups my hopes for this film but it’s not 1993 anymore he doesn’t have the creative freedom he used to no one really does anymore due to corporations changing the way film making is handled. I’m happy Steven is apart of Jurassic 7 and I pray it sets the stage for a brighter future for the Jurassic Park community. I found myself questioning my existence when Jurassic World : Dominion released. There was so much we were promised that didn’t make it into the Final Cut, not even into the extended cut which still didn’t change / fix much that was wrong with Jurassic World 3. I moved states, A lot of life happened for me, I left social media and did a lot of self improving from 2020 - 2024 and I definitely look at the Jurassic film franchise very different now because of that. I found myself going into sort of a depression during that time at first, I distanced myself from the fandom & felt like there was some trauma attached to my love for Jurassic Park. I wanted to support the new seasons of Camp Cretaceous & love The new game news & other announcements but JWD left me with such trust issues. Especially knowing all the corporate intervention that ruined so many good things like games, films Ect I just had my grudge. It was hard watching everything fall, Needless to say I wasn’t alone. The next Jurassic Film seems genuine, the cast is hyping it up and so is the publicity, I think at the very least fans just want something that is written well & has a good message / impact on us. Some horror & classic JP scrapped Easter eggs or storylines would be epic but if that’s asking too much good writing is all I’m sure we can hope for.

I will always go to bat for the first Jurassic World. I think it’s an entertaining blockbuster that expands the franchise in a good way. The ones after were hugely disappointing though

The second one wasn't so bad. I loved the idea of some rich dumb ass trying to make new hybrids and auctioning off dinos in secret as let's face it there are some idiots that would try such a thing if they could. Though I didn't like how it was trying to turn into a different direction with cloning of people and that they took out some scenes that would've made the movie even more terrifying. Dominion though, yeah huge disappointment I wanted to leave the theatre after just 5 minutes in.

​@dynastypierce3997 I agree. Wish the first of the trilogy picked up the darker tone of fallen kingdom. And to be honest most of Fallen Kingdom was still too camp/light. I don't think the studio would ever let it happen with this IP, but an R-rated film would really tickle my fancy. I hope one day CGI can compete with animatronics but until that day, i hope they keep it to a minimum and use puppets whenever they can.

Honestly I don't hate Dominion, hot take I know. I think it's not even remotely scary even at parts that I guess were meant to be, but I think expanding on the ideas of how the escaped animals have been interacting with society is super fun, and I wish they'd do more with it, preferably in more the style of short films rather than movies trying to tell a story.

@@jackallenproductions Same. It would be nice if they fully turned Jurassic World into a horror movie and then did a few little side stories that are a bit lighter like they did with Camp Cretaceous. This way adults get what they want, and there's still something kids can enjoy.

@@_.Ok. I think that's one reason why I was so disheartened with Dominion. Fallen Kingdom had set us up to have so many potential smaller narratives about dinosaurs interacting with different environments and cultures around the world. Dominion's plot was so far reaching that we only got poorly done glimpses of what could have been decent stand-alone movies.

Ok, now we're looking really good. If Spielburg is involved then this film must be blessed. Just a quick question for you klayton, how long in your opinion should a jurassic film not have any dinosaurs in it? Also want to clarify, Jurassic World is not a bad trilogy. Jurassic World is one of the best films ever made in all of cinema, not the best but it is really high up there. Fallen Kingdom gets a bad rap in my own opinion, it definetely feels the closest to Jurassic Park out of all of the sequels. And then Dominion, I refuse to even call that nuclear wasteland a jurassic movie, it dosen't deserve such a proud title. They just need to think this through and tred passionately while also learning from the past. if they do that then they are as golden as amber. Great video klayton can't wait to see what you do next.

God i love the last jedi haha. I rewatched all three of those sequel films recently. I didn't like the third on the first time i watched but watching all three back to back, they just work really well together. You just get into them and your gone for 6 hours. It was pretty great. And what i noticed is loads of the plot holes folk mention actually just don't exist! They're made up. They don't break canaon at all, and everything fits so well with the original trilogy i was quite surpised. Especially as i had just watched all three of those original star wars films right before (yes i mained about 12 hours plus of star wars in a single day!) I would definitely recommend coming back to them and doing a marathon. Hell i'd alway definitely recommend watchign a film you weren't hot on a few years later just to see if its as bad as you remember. As for this new movie i think its just more money haha. At this point this is number 7, its just more money. It might be fun. but i'm not gonna judge til i've watched it a few times. I don't think its ever gonna capture those original films cos storytelling back them in film was different. It was much slower paced and then ramped up towards the end with a super fast finish. Now have films with a more roller coaster feel with peaks and troughs so i can't see it ever being similar to the original film.

I love Jurassic park trilogy And I even love each of the Jurassic world trilogy. But I would love for Jurassic movies with the same tone as the original books.

It needs the Jurassic Park feeling of JP1, and the action and darker feeling of TLW and Fallen Kingdom. Also have Eric Kirby, Tim and Lex and Kelly return for the next generation in Rebirth. Nick Van Owen can play a cameo in the movie as well as Sarah Harding.

Since Universal is trying to distance themselves from the Jurassic World trilogy I wonder if they're going to re-theme the VelociCoaster at Islands of Adventure since it's tied to it.

Dominion was such an utter and complete let down, Rebirth could be pretty meh, and still end up being better than Dominion. How ever, if Rebirth can even bring back half the excitement I had watching the first JP in theaters, it will be a winner in my book.

I know it’s will never happen but it would be awesome if Jurassic World went down a Carnosaur path, set it in a small town or a research lab like Carnosaur 1 & 2, make it a small cast of characters that you care about fighting for survival amongst scary dinosaurs

What I want most from these modern Jurassic movies are realistic practical effects, and natural lighting - that is what makes me feel like I'm looking at a real dinosaur in the real world. And I can already tell from the first movie photos that the lighting is off, with its desaturated colors. They will tell you it's an artistic choice, when in reality it only serves to blend all the green screen shots with the rest. Jurassic Park died with Stan Winston.

Hey Klayton, what do you think about idea of Dodgson surviving the Dilophosaurus attack where his face is disfigured like the lady from Nope and the Dilophosaurus venom has warped his mind and made him insane where he becomes some sort of shaman who dresses in garb reminiscent of a Dilophosaurus and carries around a flute that makes sounds reminiscent of the dinosaur’s hoots and it also doubles as a blow dart. Also he’s the head of a dinosaur cult.

I recently did a rewatch of all the films because my girlfriend hadn't seen anything since Lost World. After we got done with Dominion she turned to me and said she gets why I was so angry
