"What" is still in my top 5 favorite title tracks. It's heavy for a Korean release and I love the syncopation in the second half of the chorus. Story-wise this is the first time they wear non-uniform outfits, which I believe is because they lost Yoohyeon (or at least her spirit) and are kind of broken. You can also see them search for her alone, not as a group. For me this is a song about the loss of a loved one and what that does to a group or family. I might be reaching, but this is the meaning for me.

"What" is for sure one of Dreamcatcher's best tracks ! I could never understand why this powerful song didn't have more success. What an awesome banger !

What is the most underrated title track from the Nightmare series for sure (unless i count Breaking Out, in which case they are tied). It feels like it would have been huge if theyd had their big break in the west (scream/boca) before it came out

It's understandable considering how this is the most rock-ish DC song at that time. Chase Me" and "GOOD NIGHT" do that too, but "What" is kinda too hard to handle. Especially after "YOU AND I" which mixes a lot of rock with EDM. So, the expectation is kind of somewhere out there and they choose to back to their rock bases. But, this creative direction is becoming some kind of tradition for DC. I mean, we got "Scream" and "BOCA" first, then "Odd Eye" settled down the story with a strong rock sound. This also happens in the Apocalypse Trilogy and Versus Series.

Discovered Dreamcatcher during the You and I era and loved all the previous MVs and B-sides. What being my first comeback just sealed the deal.

YESSSSS I LOVE THIS SONGGG it's so underrated honestly, the music video also just adds to the power it has especially on that first chorus. Probably one of my favourite dc title tracks even still. If you liked this one I'd really recommend checking out Endless Night, one of their Japanese comebacks - they tend to use the heavier rock sound for all their Japanese songs and Endless Night is probably the strongest example of it.

What is kinda like the underdog of Dreamcatcher title tracks, people always get surprised with this one, probably because it's not usually talked about that much

Thanks for the reaction. What is also my favorite song. There are also some nostalgic reasons for that. What was the first comeback that I actively supported as Insomnia and "Alone in the City" was my first Dreamcatcher album purchase. 04:06 yeah btw. that is Handong - my BIAS. 😍

While I was aware of Dreamcatcher since debut, and as a loooooooongtime metalhead I certainly appreciated what they were trying to do in the industry, it wasn't until "What" that I actually became a fan. Everything prior to that was so heavily J-Rock coded, and not only has J-Rock always been a genre that never clicked for me, Dreamcatcher leaned so heavily into the genre to the point where if I wanted to hear J-Rock, I might as well just listen to J-Rock. So, basically, I appreciated Dreamcatcher more than I actually enjoyed them. But "What" is where they pivoted and started doing with rock/metal what drew me to Kpop in the first place - taking elements and mashing it with other genres and styles to create something new and interesting. "What" is where Dreamcatcher's signature (title track) sound became "Rock Style X + Pop Style Y"... and they have consistently OVER-delivered ever since.

What is definitely one of my favourite Dreamcatcher songs. It's produced by another team than their normal producers though; is there any InSomnia here who happens to know why?

Thanks for reacting to Dreamcatcher. I really like the kind of music they make, I'm from the SCREAM era and from then on I fell in love with the group. Their b-side has beautiful songs.❤

No bad songs :) After you'll pass through all the title tracks, consider to react to all the b-sides. Most of them are not as heavy as title tracks (well, there ARE exceptions, one notably includes the work of the Hammerfall guitarist), but they are both extremely great and diverse.

Hey Just wanted to say I'm not quite sure if you've reacted to "Justice" by them or not but if you haven't, you should definitely listen to that song. It's their new comeback. And also if you're into Rock, you have to check out Xdinary Heroes and Rolling Quartz. These two bands are K-rock oh and recently XH has released a metal song called "iNSTEAD" so don't forget to check them out 👍
