What makes DC sound different is the fact they produce their songs inhouse, instead of many mainstream groups that mostly just outsource their productions to external companies/producers who mass produce for several other groups.

"Chase me" was their debut, released on January 13th (a Friday), 2017. It must have been nerve-wrecking for the members, re-debuting with a genre that is not popular in Korea after Minx failed. (5 of them were Minx before.) But they already doubled their sales with this. And they stuck with the Rock/Metal vibe until today, now selling 50 times the albums than Minx did. This is the start of the Nightmare arc, which spans 6 MVs and 1 Japanese release. They are Nightmares here, and the Nightmare hunter is trying to dispel them - how that turns out is shown in the next one, Good Night.

Thanks for checking out Dreamcatcher's debut, Chase Me! I didn't expect to see a follow up video so soon, so this was a pleasant surprise, and I see that you've already dropped Good Night as well. They really started out by making a statement and they're still doing it 7 years later. If you were into groups like Evanescence, Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin and others in the genre then DC will probably be right up your ally. As I said in my previous comment, they have an extremely diverse discography, so you'll find all kinds of genres in their music as you get deeper into the rabbit hole. I'm not sure that you'll be able to react to this without putting a filter on the video but if you want to see Chase Me, Good Night, and Fly High performed live with a band then you can check out this performance from JUMF 2017. One of many reasons Dreamcatcher is my Ult Group is their variety. They literally have something for EVERYBODY. I LOVE that! I like all kinds of music and DC delivers all kinds of music. :)

Yep they have definitely done performances and concerts with a live band :D When I first discovered dreamcatcher a while back, it took me right back to early 2000s alt rock/punk rock etc, and certainly reminded me of Evanescence and other groups I used to listen to. That's when I realised how much I missed hearing heavy guitars and drums in kpop, and that Dreamcatcher were THE ultimate group for me. Their discography just keeps getting better and better, and others would have already said it but their B-sides are amazing too

There is a happy ending, at least in Korean terms, but you need to watch the seventh song, Breaking Out, which was the title track of their one and only Japanese album.

dreamcatcher \:D/ don't worry about getting the visual plot, it may come in time, or maybe not lol but that doesn't matter - just enjoy the music! since chase me and good night are directly connected, the sound will be a little similar. other than this, almost no two dreamcatcher songs are similar as they almost never revisit sounds and genres used in previous songs. this is more apparent with their b-sides which tend to be non-rock.

There is also a theory that the hunter is a Psychic, which is part of how he gathers information but it also makes it easier for the ladies to terrorize the guy. The girls might be the nightmares but the hunter himself is also up to no good. Just look at that grin at the end...

And I recommend the following groups and songs: Rolling Quartz - Azalea, Young Posse - XXL. These groups and Dreamcatcher are not mainstream in K-pop. But I think you'll like it.
