You all know that I love the Cloud Lab Lip Clay formula from Kaleidos Makeup, so I really wanted to film a lip swatch video of the 8 new shades from The Apple Collection.

I picked up the original sets, and 3 of the newer shades. I love scorpion fruit and mercury waves. I can't wait to try out queen of the night. The formula is nice, doesn't feel drying on my lips, and wear nicely! I can't wait to see the newest apocolips video! Love you and hope you're doing well!

I been watching all reviews on these bc I love them so much, and this is by far the very best review of the product itself, how it works and not just your opinion entirely. (I know exactly what you mean about the blurred effect and not being as opaque) I see so many bad lip swatches on reviews along with bad opinions of the darker shades as it's not being applied correctly and it drives me crazy bc I'm not getting a good idea of how the product should look when done correctly. These remind me of colorpops blotted liquid lipsticks (which I own all but 1 color and it is my most favorite lip formula I have ever owned) I love that soft blurred blotted effect and how well it wears and comfortable, but it does require a technique to apply correctly to look the best and you explained that well, so now I really know what to expect from these and a better idea of what it will look like when I use them, so THANK YOU, this really helps me with my shopping!!!!

I just got these yesterday on your recommendation on the apocalips video and I'm loving the formula even under a mask. Also that light cool toned set seems like made for me! The only thing I don't love is the applicator but I'll make it work with practice 😊

I am really enjoying these lip clays. I'm also pleasantly surprised that a couple of them that I didn't think would suit me, actually look really good. I don't know what black magic they're using to make them work on different undertones, but I'm impressed. I do find the darker colours a bit hard to apply neatly though. Also, as a Goth I've tried a lot of black lipsticks over the years, and Scorpion Fruit is easily the most flattering one I've ever tried.

I wish I was the type of person to wear those dramatic shades, but I have a few and they never get worn. Mercury Wave is probably the darkest/weirdest I'd go, but I still haven't actually used two of the shades from the previous collection's nude set. I don't want to open them while I'm still testing/trying to use up others. The formula is bomb though! Definitely want more in the future. Even the warm pink shade!

I only have 5 lipsticks, so I have room for 5 more, since 10 is the maximum number I allow myself to have, so as to use them and feel I make progress. I was actually waiting to buy some Too Faced, either in a bundle for Christmas or some shades I like, but the lip clays look really beautiful. Since you love both formulas, where do you propose I invest? Lovely video and very informative. And I love your eye makeup :) Edit: I use the Kaleidos box to store 4 mask protective case, one for each family member and I used the protective black foam boxes that had the Club Nebula and the Excape Pod palettes to hold coasters. They look lovely but I am not interested in either the fan nor the apple from this collection.

That's a tough one! It really depends on what you personally prefer. The TF ones are fantastic traditional liquid lipsticks, so they are opaque, bold, can be applied crisply, are long wearing, but they set down dry (not as dry feeling as others on the market), whereas these ones give a more blurred effect, aren't as bold, don't last as long, are more comfortable, and also don't transfer (which sets them apart from other similar liquid lipsticks - like MAC Powder Kiss Liquid). So they are both great, but I have a place for both in my collection personally.

I completely agree with your advice to not build this up with layering, I did that with the Scorpion Fruit after I noticed some of the color came off after a couple hours and when I did that it became so thick and didn't dry down, it was just real difficult to work with and I just had to take it off completely. I love the formula and feeling but doing multiple layers just doesn't work. Don't do it.

AHHHH I had a lipstick that was perfection called Vampire Blood and I have never been able to dupe it in 10+ years until Rubino...who knew I needed to search for clotted blood colours LOL. (you just said it was vampirey too haha) I NEED and I am so glad they sell them individually now! Sheer matte velvety goodness. Perfect.

They are in texture and finish but the MAC liquid powder kiss transfer, whereas these don't at all... so they are better, but very similar concept

I ordered these on your recommendation. I've purchased a couple of the MAC liquid lips you compared them too. I loved the formula and colors from MAC but BOTH bottles broke where they connect to the tops! Never happened with any other products. Really hoping these are their replacements.

Got this whole collection. I enjoy the formula but it definitely takes an adjustment for me. I found it very drying sadly, and it was impossible to layer as it dries down too fast. I don't hate it, I just think I'm used to using other brands and it has a learning curve for me. I definitely don't regret the purchase and I will purchase more. Edit: I am LOLing as you just addressed that in the video after I typed my comment hahaha okay I'm glad we've all had a universal experience here

@@rachel_dawn_amber Então, comprei toda a coleção Flower Punk. Lembro que paguei no entorno de 600 e poucos reais. Não paguei frete. Não fui taxada, mas acho que é uma questão de sorte também. Uma coisa que acho que ajuda é que a Kaleidos é chinesa, e é bem menos provável que taxem compras que vem de lá. Já comprei muito color pop, por exemplo, e sempre taxam (só teve uma vez que não). E para ser honesta, nem vale mais a pena de tão caro que vem a taxa. Na última vez gastei duas vezes o valor do produto. Um absurdo. E sim, é muito bacana encontrar outros brasileiros por aí hahhahaha

How does the kaleidos lip clay compare with the lunar beauty comfort matte liquid lipsticks?

I haven't used the Lunar comfort matte unfortunately, but I would assume based on seeing them reviewed that they are more of the traditional liquid lipstick formula that has some moisturising properties, instead of being this interesting blurred effect.
