2001 UltraMax Proforce. I repaint it myself, new Rear axle, rear bearings front bearings, steering ends, chain, and whatever else need to be replaced depending on wear. Works for me 😅 great video btw

2010 PRC SERAPH is just fine getting 100% restored this winter all titanium hardware and 2 stage powder coat plus 2 new engines.

you can get a kart frame stripped down and re-powder coated for a fairly affordable price if you're looking to go that route. bearings, axles, spindles, heim ends, are very important to replace because roll speed is everything at the end of the day. im making the switch from slack next season to something else but what that is im not 100% certain yet.

I've recently acquired an'02 Shadow Vader that I'm upgrading with PRC stuff. I ran it two times at the end of this season, after going through a lot of stuff that needed love. And I was surprised at how fast and grippy this chassis is. So I'm really looking forward to see what it does with more upgrades.

Thanks for the video Ben. I'm looking at the same question that you bring up there, whether to replace my current cart or just service the old one. It's really tough to find a decent amount of information about the various chassis out there. I wish somebody would provide videos with honest and unbiased reviews about what chassis are easier to set up, which ones are more forgiving of tires, which ones are easier to handle, and things like that.

@@kart6t3_ben I hear you and no doubt, it would be impossible to get even 3 or 4 of the major kart manufacturers to lend out a chassis for you to test and review...and if they would, you'd have to get them tuned to your style and preferences in short order - no small feat in itself. That said, I don't think I've ever heard a good conversation between racers comparing karts they've driven. I'd love to hear a panel of experts weigh in on their own personal experiences. Buying a new kart is pricey, but I'd be happy to spend the $$ if I had a better idea of why the Ultramax might work better for my size, preferences, and location than the Charger or the Millenium or vice versa. But there's very little information like that out there. Surely, there's something about how a Charger handles that feels different than an Ultramax or a Slack.

Like you we're pretty heavy, 385lbs so I even replace the rear axle in the middle of the season, but we race 2x a weekend a lot.... however the ole Scythe is still bad fast!! Love to check out the new Phantom but since we just bought the 24 SHP Evolve and started UAS RACING only the grandkids are in flat karts....

2015 ultramax xceed was brand new till few weeks ago first time it saw the track ever. - I’d use automotive paint over powder coating every time look at a newer truck the trailer hitch is first thing to rust and they are powder coated

I've been thinking of getting another chassis but I run sbo, stock appearing, rwyb depending on what track I'm at and what they call it and I get in my head that the newer chassis aren't really designed for what I'm doing if that makes any sense. They are all developed for clone racing basically? So I have a hard time deciding which one to get or if I even need one. Some nights my ole 2015 Trick Monster is on a rail and some nights it just plan out junk . It's good on a track that's kinda dry where you need tires in the 45-55 ranger but on a wet track that requires stupid soft tires I'm junk.

Just added a 3 race old 24 prodigy cadet to my fleet so now have that a 23 trick kutless and the avenger storm prototype from 2008 that's fully restored.
