Ive been fishing all my life and lived on the lake with my own boat as a kid and i can honestly say kayak nowadays are so badass. Really the most important thing on a boat is the trolling motor and electronics. The boat just gets you there.

One of the major reasons I got this kayak was the open cockpit. I can spread out and stand and I don't feel cramped at all.

Saw this yak yesterday. Dude had the copilot setup with his TM and he was standing with no issues. Made me question my purchase of the Pelican Catch PWR100:). would have to have a trailer tho.

That thing looks like it's build like a tank. I was looking into buying one too but I already have the ascend 12t and and it's lighter and more convenient for one person to carry. Plus I didn't like the rails on it. They weren't sturdy enough, trust me when I say you will lose a big fish and your rod holder because the rod holder WILL pop out with a little force

Would the transducer that close to a front motor/prop cause any misreads or funky outputs on the finder?

Never been big on the Ascend brand, mainly as I don't see any of their yaks being good for the salt, flats maybe, but not the yak I would go to chase Pac Salmon or Butts with.

That looks like an amazing kayak. I wish more had the trolling motor mount and set up. The only thing is, it scares me to think about being in a river or creek where I might have to carry it. How has it been loading, unloading, and portaging it?

I made a kayak cart for this rig and will be uploading a video of it soon. Makes it super easy to transport. I will also make a video on how I load and unload it from my roof rack.

I hear the seat doesn’t hold up too well. I want to buy this for my lady to join me fishing on my big fish 108 with Newport vessels motor. I’d plan on putting a feel free gravity seat in that bad boy if it fits if not fabricate seat so I will fit. Realllllly nice kayak and outstanding features for the original price of $1050.00 usd. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻💎

The factory seat tends to fall out of the groves. I have had a problem with these. But Ascend is aware of it and will give you a replacement. Idk if this is still an issue on the newer models. Other then that no issues. The chair is very supportive and very comfortable.

i find the tray under the seat fits better between the seat and bracket with the rope towards the back. i wish ascend would have done a better job of explaining this stuff.
