Like you Keith, I hadn't done KFC for donkey's years and decided to get a delivery about 3 months back. I used to prefer KFC to McDonald's and Burger King because their fries were better, more like chips and their gravy was banging. This time around the fries were nothing like they used to be and the portion size was extremely small. Plus KFC gravy ain't KFC gravy anymore, they've changed it and it's just bang average. I won't be doing KFC again ...

Keith you got a zinger burger meal for Nat, which is the spicy burger not original. You also got a trilogy box meal which also had a zinger burger in it too, that’s why you both can’t taste the ‘origional recipe’ flavour from them 😊 I would suggest going back to try the original recipe chicken but as you said it’s so expense now that it probably wouldn’t be worth it

Rubbery chicken indicates it’s been way over cooked. KFC is far too expensive. It’ll be cheaper to buy an organic bird from the butcher and get them to quarter it and make your own seasoning (and you’ll do a much better job). Looking forward to that episode😊

KFC varies drastically from franchise to franchise- probably an army of new staff probably doesnt help (probably explains the long prep time too) it used to be good value but the past 2 years its exploded in price

KFC has proper gone downhill in the past few years, Both the closest ones where i live are really crap, Stale buns, Overcooked chicken etc..and of course the portion size is a joke.

KFC use to be brilliant years ago, great chicken, fries and gravy. Now it has become a total waste of money, expensive crap. Why change a winning recipe for cheap crap, but charge your customers a lot more??? I am surprised it's still in business.

Once burned, twice shy. I haven't been to a KFC for about 30 years. I was tired of the greasy food, but the only thing was the texture and the delicious smell that kept me coming back, and eventually that lost its appeal too.

I would never buy a gimmicky meal as I call it from KFC. I go about 2-3 times a year and its always a 10 piece bargain bucket which is about £18 or so and I ask for 7 thigh pieces and 3 leg pieces and I can get 3 -4 meals out of it. Always tastes good and hits the spot. I felt disappointed for you when I saw your meals. Hope you can try it again after giving them some feedback.

@@JonPaul1953 Unfortunately mine never make it to the freezer- just too damn tasty! You can bag them up in batches and freeze. I tend to use the air fryer to heat mine - I always bake on a low setting ( cake setting or similar) for about 5 mins cold from the fridge and they come out hot and crispy with soft fall apart chicken on the inside.

Went for a KFC in Kettering last night, next to a cinema I was visiting. No self-service points so had to queue to wait for someone to open a till. Unfortunately they were prioritising drive-through and delivery drivers, so walked out after 5 mins without a hint of anyone in the queue being able to be served. Never again!

I cook most days but, maybe once a month, only the Colonel's will do. None of the frisky stuff, just the buckets of chicken, hot wings, fries and drinks. Prices have gone a bit daft but it's always good, and hits the spot mate👍

Geeze mate you were hard done by in quality, quantity and price for that lot. But if you say it's been 20 years since your last KFC haul, then you haven't kept up with the times and their changes adapting to them. KFC in Australia, aka 'The Dirty Bird' isn't so bad, infact they are McDonald's biggest competitor bang for buck...errr muck and were my favoured until I became gluten free. Now I don't go near the place but have to put up with the aroma as the store is only 4 doors down the road. Next time make your own. The 11 secret herbs n spices recipe is online and is very close to the original recipe in taste and flavour. But if you miss an ingredient, don't expect the experience to be a good one. KFC chips were always poor , soggy and almost always cold and under seasoned. The problem I think with KFC is you get a shitty run franchise one it's game over for your chicken dinner 😢

KFC is rank. The wife and I got a meal each from Braehead nr Glasgow. The place was dirty and dusty. Unclean tables The burgers tasted horrible. Hot in temp. But were ill for a couple of days. Never again.

In the 80’s one of my favourites was bbq ribs I’ve no idea they stopped selling them. I have noticed the fillets of chicken kfc use now in their burgers are nowhere near as thick as they used to be and as you said “the seasoning is not what it was”

I would go down and complain you will probably get a replacement meal, I had one delivered and there were items missing I rang them and they gave me a credit for the cost and when I went in they had a book with I presume were orders they had credited it was pretty full ! lol 🙂

Keith, Nat If you ring them within 7 days with your recipient number they are obliged to offer a like for like order nats chips are half the the regular size portion and burger is below average expectation for what they advertise and charge . Hold them to account for what they are charging and demand better its the only way standards will change within the top 3 fast food chains.

Kfc... severely overpriced. the floors u always very greasy when you go in. the chips are raw. The popcorn is usualy nice but you don't get much. Last time I got KFC the chicken strips were really chewy like plastic.

Different times. 20 years ago you felt kfc was a nice treat leaving you nice and content with the meal leaving you full. Things are supposed to improve with time.
