The specially adapted chassis for the new Ceed GT was developed under the guidance of Albert Biermann, formerly head of performance models at Kia and now head of group development. Compared to the previous model, this results in greater cornering stability and a more direct steering response. Animated by the adequate output of 150 kW (204 hp), the revised 1.6 T-GDI engine delivers a maximum torque of 265 Nm over a rev range of 1500 to 4500 rpm. It is particularly dynamic in combination with the DCT, which can also be controlled manually using paddle shifters on the steering wheel (0-100 km/h: 7.4 seconds). A twin tailpipe provides the right sound backdrop when accelerating hard.
The exterior design of the sports versions differs from the other versions by striking changes. These include the sporty front apron, a grille with matt chrome frame, side skirts, 18-inch light-alloy wheels in a special design, gloss black mirror caps and a rear bumper with integrated diffuser.
The Ceed GT also sports a number of red elements, including the grille insert, the decorative strips on the front apron and side skirts, the center caps and the brake calipers. Thanks to the slightly reduced ground clearance, the GT gives the impression of “sticking” even more to the road. Offered exclusively for the GT, the new Orange Fusion Metallic color owes its particular brilliance to metal-coated glass particles.
Inside, the sports leather-covered steering wheel, the black roof lining and the aluminum sill strips give it a sporty look. The new sports seats have a wider and firmer base and are upholstered in black leather and suede with red stitching decorating the seats and other interior elements.
The staffing of the sport version is just as practical as that of the other models. The 395-litre luggage compartment of the Ceed GT has a variable floor height. In addition, the GT is equipped with comprehensive infotainment, comfort and safety systems. As standard, it features, among other things, LED headlights, a Smart-Key, smartphone interfaces, a reversing camera, an automatic climate control system, heated front seats and a rain sensor. In addition, it has an adaptive speed limiter with stop-and-go function, forward collision warning with emergency braking assistant and pedestrian detection, active lane departure warning system, hold assistant active lane warning system, lane keeping system, cross traffic warning, a drowsiness alarm and a high beam assistant. The Ceed GT also offers high-tech equipment such as the traffic jam assistant, the intelligent parking system, the induction charging station for smartphones and the Supervision instrument display. Electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, 8-inch map navigation system (including Kia Connected Services multimedia service), JBL premium audio system and traffic sign recognition for speed limits. The new Ceed GT is now available. The Ceed GT also offers high-tech equipment such as the traffic jam assistant, the intelligent parking system, the induction charging station for smartphones and the Supervision instrument display. Electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, 8-inch map navigation system (including Kia Connected Services multimedia service), JBL premium audio system and traffic sign recognition for speed limits. The glass roof with electric sliding panel is the only option that can be ordered. The new Ceed GT is now available. The Ceed GT also offers high-tech equipment such as the traffic jam assistant, the intelligent parking system, the induction charging station for smartphones and the Supervision instrument display. Electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, 8-inch map navigation system (including Kia Connected Services multimedia service), JBL premium audio system and traffic sign recognition for speed limits.

Hey Dan, could you please find a road with at least one bend, when you are testing "auto pilot", because every car can drive by itself on a straight road. I don't know why, but you can rarely see a proper test (or at least showing them in function) of driving assistants and nearly every car has them nowadays - I'm talking in general in youtube videos about cars.

Deine Test Drive Videos sind wunderschön und gut strukturiert aber meiner Meinung wird das Auto nicht genug ausgereizt also klar interessiert es manche was es für Sicherheitssysteme besitzt aber mich z.b interessiert eher wie schnell es beschleunigt wie und wie die Endgeschwindigkeit ist. Also im Großen und Ganzen finde ich die Test Drive POV langweilig aber die Reviews finde ich klasse.
