In January 2004 my sister interviewed Jordan for a uw madison newspaper article to promote his solo nkotb remix album. she couldn't get the audio off the recording format, but wrote a great article. I had just graduated and was my first year into working. she called me before and after the interview and told me it was one of the coolest 20 minutes in her life. this was still at a point when new kids were not together and around the time when 'bands reunited' was on. at that time nkotb had no plans to reunite. I'm so thankful they did...the question regarding reunion was the last part of her article. My mom framed that one :).

My Sister and I are going to go see NKOTB in June in Salt Lake. I was 13 years old when I saw them in 1991 and my sister was around 3 or 4 years old back than so she didn't get to go. She wants to go this year (2024) and we are going to have a blast together. Dispite the age difference between us we are quite close, and I introduced her to NKOTB back in the day. I can't wait to experience this concert with her.

When Donnie was talking about the phone you could call and get messages from them that brought back a memory. I didn’t know the calls were by the minute or message. I thought they were by the call. And I would get 5 at a time at least once a week. My mom saw the phone bill and I thought she was going to faint. I didn’t get an allowance for almost 2 months because of that.

Outdoor areas we know more concerts for me. Actually, there’s no more concerts for me at all due to my health .I am so bummed that I cannot go. I have severe health issues that don’t allow me to be out in the heat(even indoors I “overheat “). Even in 2022 at the concert, I slumped over in my seat and was nearly unconscious because of a heart issue(among others). It was a mixture of being close to the speakers which tripped up my heart rate andI went into Afib. as well as the heat. And that’s indoors so I’m definitely worse outdoors so as hard as it is to, accept, I have come to the realization, I can no longer attend concerts. If it was done indoors in the fall or winter I could have possibly done it in a venue that has a hotel attached so I can chill out out in my room before and after . But I’ve faced the truth, I’m not likely going to be attending another one which makes me so grateful that I was able to meet them 10 years ago before my time at concerts was over. at the risk of rambling a little further , I was taking backstage by the medic I was in the wheelchair and we went right by Griffin. and he looked me right in the eyes. I’m hoping he doesn’t think I was one of the drunk fans who was up in the medical room as well lol. not gonna lie when I was taken by the medic one of the girls sitting next to my friend on the other side asked if I was drunk. And I resent that being the first assumption. Then, as soon as I get upstairs there were several lol. And now I’m not bashing anyone’s good time I’m just saying, I didn’t like that being the first assumption because I was having a severe issue. but more importantly, I was super bummed that I didn’t get halfway through the show. All of that money spent ,all of that excitement, and build up . even got a shirt specially made , and a facemask specially made in case we needed them. Only to have to hear Jordan singing baby I believe in you while I’m in the med room. and sick as I was my head is thinking oh no I’m missing the shirt blowing and his chest lol So sorry that this was a novel length comment. It’s just once I get started talking about them. It’s hard to shut me up. I’ve been a proud blockhead from the moment they came out in the late 80s and nearly 48 years old. I think I’m an even bigger fan now.
