Rod and Staff preschool, outdoor play, paint/play dough, games, and read aloud is the perfect preschool. ClE K2 is great! I am doing it with Explode the Code for K this year for the 4th time...super gentle and fun for the kiddos.

We are starting kindergarten in the fall or feb as we will be in Sydney by then so we may leave it till the end of the summer!!! I wouldn’t have thought of using a teachers guide when I’m trained in the early years!!! I don’t mind what Bible translation but wouldn’t use KJV or as we say in our home the Shakespeare Bible!!! The kindergarten curriculum looks awesome!!!

Hi Katie! We have mostly used Christian Light Curriculum from Kindergarten through 5th grade for our kids. I love the pull it and go format…I have no desire to plan! And comparing the curriculum to what we know of public school accomplishments, we know they are getting a good education!

I'm back watching again a year later....my 3 year old isn't quite ready for those preschool books and my 5.5 year old is a bit beyond the K. I think we're going to start the CLE Learning to Read with her this fall. But I'm wondering if you've got any suggestions for my 3 year old.... something slightly below the Pre K books. This boy really wants to do school and im getting a bit bored. He knows his letter sounds and numbers.

I plan on using CLE and the Rod and Staff books when we get there. I like that they’re simple and straight forward. My daughter would have loved it if I’d known about it back then.

We’ve always used the Rod and Staff preschool books (since my 15 year old was a preschooler), but I didn’t realize that they were part of Christian Light curriculum! 😊

It has math weaved in. I did CLE without anything extra and then did math with confidence once I was done

My 5 year seems to have everything down that she would be learning in cle kindergarten 2. Would it be too much to go straight to learning to read and math 1?

I would look at their placement guide but if she tests into 1 I would go for it
