My Kindle, 2019 version, arrived today, so I've been going to the KZbin University to learn how to use it. I'm in my 70s, and find it so much easier to see it being done than reading the directions. I just downloaded four books and I'm eager to get reading, but needed a break. I came to this video to put the clock up, but fixed the font and spacing, too. Thanks. Jon in rural BC, Canada

And I used to read on the Kindle app all the time on my iPad, this is so much better, my battery lasted almost 7 months on a single charge after I came home from my holiday(because I had a backlog of paper books to read before buying more Kindle books) I then was still able to read 6 books on the remaining battery, charged at the end of February and only charged it again (1.5 hours to fully charge) just the other day

The display resembles the appearance of paper,its got a stronger light to reduce eye strain, higher definition, a larger display and there's also a warm mode. Oh and it's waterproof I think. Idk what else​@@samskelton9908

You can also use a pinch-to-zoom motion when reading a non-pdf book. The font size menu will appear but you can ignore it and continue using the pinch method

Getting my Kindle tomorrow, and I only buy it for its convenience when travelling and doing weeklong hikes. I don't expect or even want any fancy features. But that learning words feature, it's ingenious! Had no idea it existed. Don't think I'll need it for english (the dictionary is enough for that (exception being G.R.R. Martin)), but when reading german books it'll be a great tool!

Excellent! I have had a Kindle paperwhite since they came out and I never actually looked at my vocabulary builder. Nice to know about that. Is there a way to see a list of the books I’ve read and the date I finished reading them? I would sure love to have a list of titles and quick synopsis of each title.

there is a way to see the books you have read. if you search it up on google it will say. i’ve seen it before my self, i just can’t remember how to, sorry 😂

I have the newest Kindle with the 6.8" screen and I want to use the Book Cover as the lock screen. The new Kindle does not have the display cover as an option. I've set this option in my older Paperwhite's but I can't do it here. HELP!!!

Dont fall for upgrade firmware. It removes dictionaries unless you register. Removes book over screensaver. Picture is not full screen anymore when zoomed in, it cuts the bottom of it.

Is there another setting that must be enabled prior to turning on page turning animations? I have a new Kindle 32gig, no adds, and animations are not an option. I see the area where I would toggle the switch, but it is a lighter color and the switch does nothing (like it is not an option).

That’s because it is feature that is included in only the newer versions of the kindle

The big major problem which you completely "pretended" not to notice or are deaf to is the problem that everyone seems to be complaining about: Amazon/Kindle no longer displays the book covers thumbnails. By comparison, every single item you touched on was "silly"... nothing most of us couldn't discover on our own. The thumbnail book cover issue is the only main issue that most of us are complaining about. I am now shopping for a new ebook reader. Kindle will soon go in the rubbish bin.
