So, being that Dallas is a previous prison worker, how awesome and funny would it be for you guys to do an episode on prison shanks?! Maybe somehow get a hold of a handful of real shanks and talk about them in an episode. Great spin and I bet it would be a lot of fun!
@_Nathan-2 жыл бұрын
That would be awesome! Technically they are “full custom” 😆
@EDCandLace2 жыл бұрын
This channel is to show items they sell, nothing more nothing less. If they had sku numbers for shanks they would happily make that episode.

I’ve had a Peña X-series modern traditional (there are several similar models) at the very top of my list of grail knives for quite a long time. Classy, functional, excellent build quality, and a non-threatening design. I’d EDC it with a Bark River Mini Aurora as a back-up heavy duty knife for the ultimate gentleman’s carry.
@superrad16592 жыл бұрын
Agreed, the Apache and Raptor in particular are near/at the top of the list for me. IMO they are the epitome of a modern-traditional. Wanted to try the front flipper, but kinda regret not just going wih the recent Kickstop's just to get one in hand. But at $300 +/- I figured I'd wait.

Love the Finch! Like traditional knives but want modern materials and design elements such as decent steel and bearings? Get a Finch. I have four now with more on my list. Quality is good to excellent. Nice sizes (small-med), discrete and not overbuilt. I have found that using these knives around non-knife people good due to non threatening designs and often get non knife people wanting to have a closer look due to the colours and designs. A little expensive but make great gifts. Thanks guys for another interesting vid. 🐦

I have a mini troodon and I liked it more than I thought I would. The tanto is best. Easy to deploy and when you just need to cut something (tape, paper, string, etc) it's convenient.

If you guys haven't done one do a video on fixed blade survival knives and military knives like the usmc ka bar, and the blackbird sk5. One of my everyday edc knives is a paramilitary 2 with digicam scales or one with flytainium brass scales.

The Hanks by Hank is off in the graphic; it said "Price: $20.00 Height: 10.00" Steel: 10.00"" - when it really should have been "Price: $20.00 Height: 10.00" Steel: Cotton" :) Missed an opportunity there.

No they will keep their pricing exclusive If you want their product you will pay for it they know it And they will Continue that tradition.. Most of their models are are instant sell outs At the current pricing so if anything their prices will only go up because they know they know we are willing to pay it

I’m just getting into knives and I’m just left he wondering why the hell someone would pay $400 dollars for such a small “dagger” knife
@butcheredalive2 жыл бұрын
Steel type, country of manufacture, whether it’s handmade or not, handle materials, all that goes into the cost. A custom, handmade knife with Damasteel and cf or ti handles can cost several times what a mass production Chinese or even American production knife would cost
@superrad16592 жыл бұрын
They can get waaaaaaay more $$$$ than that even lol. *Popeyes Manager* is largely correct tho. Truth be told, there IS a point of diminishing returns. IMO its prob in the $150-$200ish range. MY OPINION. At a certain point you're really not gaining anything performance-wise, but rather entering a different tier of cutlery. You're no longer paying for added performance benefit but rather the craftsmanship and artistry that went ito it. Then theres the collectability/exclusiveness of certain models, but thats a whole 'nother topic.
@butcheredalive2 жыл бұрын
@@superrad1659 I appreciate stuff like that though. If I had the money to buy a Shirogorov I would, but that’s me. But I don’t, so my first quality knife will be a Para 3 LW

I am biased with this suggestion for a topic. Kitchen knives. You have them on the site. You show them almost no live in the show. A show with nothing but cutlery. There is a lot of topics you can cover from Rockwell hardness dramatically different steel choices, edge geo, blade styles, regional styles, handle types, thicknesses, how to properly hold and use, the right cutting boards, the right way to sharpen. As you can tell. Like it? I like it allot.

I tried watching some of these videos because I watch all the videos from the knife center. Some constructive criticism, if I may. You guys need to show the knife much more and talk less. We displaying the knife and describing it, you guys keep turning towards yourself and. It showing it too much. Also the camera zooms out to fast and zooms in a out too much. 🤷🏻♂️

Do you really need to state “the price on the website” every time you refer to the price of a knife? The price is the same on the website or in the store, there’s no need to differentiate.
@EDCandLace2 жыл бұрын
They don't do it for any other reason but to let you know that what they say don't matter the price on the website is what matters if they make a mistake you're not getting it for the price they say
Just a suggestion, but I wish Dallas would stop looking at Kurt so much. Talk to the viewers man. We are here to see the knives' features and some insight from not holding them in hand ourselves.
