Thanks so much Gran! I'm loving the fishing up here. They might not be as big as our Florida Bass.... but they're every bit as tough.

That was just beautiful! The chances of you seeing something like that again are very slim. That’s one of my favorite things about kayaking. Ya just never know what will pop up. Great video Tracy! Nice 4 pounder too!😊

Another beauty, Tracy. I had a good day yesterday too, with a 20-lb. bag and 58 fish total. However, I did fish twice, from four until nearly ten in the morning and another hour and fifteen minutes in the evening, but I hit 20-pounds in the morning session.

Love fishing new waters. Loon chicks hatch a little later than most other waterfowl. The loons here are just hatching but baby ducks and geese are already getting some size to them. I gotta get back up to Maine soon, Jonesin’ for some good Smallmouth action, surprised you didn’t get any. Congrats on the new PB Maine Largie , length wise. Pretty sure that was a white perch.

Thanks Don. The Smallmouth action has been almost zero for me in the lakes. The Penobscot River is loaded. Yesterday I fished a lake that's known for its smallmouth. Guess how many I caught? Zero!

Wow I’m impressed with Maine bass fishing but nothing like down here in the Everglades fish quantity & chance of catching a large double digit bass nothing compares to it & I do love fishing shallow water . But nonetheless very impressed with its fisheries. A huge plus I see no huge pump houses . I have a question are these bass Florida strain stocked ? Love that lake as well awesome video job well done !
@OldLadyAngler3 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure this is a different strain. I can't see a Florida bucket mouth surviving one winter here. It's harsh. I do love fishing here in the summer because I can fish all day long without having a heat stroke. And these lakes up here are so pristine. I don't think they stock Bass in any of the lakes. In fact, Smallmouth are invasive in a lot of places. Further north, in the cold water fisheries, they probably stock trout and salmon. This is God's country for sure.

@@OldLadyAngler your right just looked it up they are most likely are northern strain they range up to Virginia but nonetheless very impressive outing . The itchetucknee river is crystal clear one of the few rivers I seen the largemouth bass live in . The heat now down here is unbearable at times wish I was in the A/C instead lol
