So cute and perfect for hot weather. A great reminder that patterns can be creatively adapted; dress patterns can become blouses and blouses can become dresses!!

Thanks for sharing another great video. I made this pattern, the sleeved shirt view, when I first learned to sew in 2018 the fit was not right but it was an easy sew. Thanks for sharing your adjustments will pull this pattern out again and try some adjustments to see if it fits better. It definitely is an easy sew with few pattern pieces. Thanks again for sharing all of your sewing tips and tricks in the video I found them very helpful.

I just made this as a top and absolutely love this pattern... so easy, really cute and versatile... will definitely be one of my TNT patterns. I already have fabric in mind for other versions. Loved seeing your making process... I was curious about making a version with the sleeves, I really liked how yours came out, so I'll be looking to try a version with sleeves soon. Thanks! 😊

I love hearing other sewist's experiences! If you are a curvy gal like me, you may want to add a little elastic to the seam allowance of the waistline. It does help define the waist and still retain the soft easy flow of the pattern. I am considering doing this. I just like a little waist definition. Happy sewing! I look forward to hearing how your second experience with this pattern goes.

What a great video. Love the dress on you. Thanks for all your details and explanations. When you walk through your thought process and all the steps as you go, it is so helpful for a new sewist. I’m adopting your tips and process to my projects. So even if I’m not making the project you are, I can transfer these skills to what I’m working on. Your students must have adored you. It’s easy to share your excitement with fabric and the projects as they come together.

That was a very informative video. Lots of good tricks that I will incorporate into projects. I have decided that I need to ask Santa for a serger for Christmas. I find your videos very encouraging and motivating to keep sewing. Currently I am working on a very easy pair of pajama pants. I found a fun holiday print flannel that I am using. This will be my "Holiday Theme Clothing" entry in the county fair this year.

Brad, I always hope there are some takeaways for sewing that can be used in other projects! Thank you. A serger is fun and wonderful but not essential. Though if you sew enough you will find you will use it in nearly every project.

I made the tip. I had trouble with the arm hole dart. I never did get it right. You dess is adorable on you.

I am glad we got to sew together! You know armhole darts can be tricky because of the bias in that area. A little stay-stitching first can sometimes help keep the area more stable.

Cute dress for this hot summer day. Could you please link where you purchased your bias tape? Size. Double fold? Thanks 😊

Thank you! This is the bias I used in the video. It is a poly satin single fold. I like how well it handles the wash and is soft against the skin. amzn.to/3XzOopN

I just found your channel, and I'm really enjoying it. What are the two machines you are using? You might want to list the equipment you're using in the info box.

Hooray! I am happy we get to sew together. I didn't realize I had left the machine info out. Thank you. I added it back in. I use Bernina 770QEE sewing machine and Bernina L890 overlock. I am going to see if the info is missing on more videos now.

I think you forgot to understitch before pressing the bias on the neckline

You are right, I didn't understitch in this project.

@@stacyrobbins Thank you for replying. I'm really enjoying your videos. I do have a question about the darts. I'm a beginner and I'm trying to sew this same project. I noticed that the instructions say to press the darts down, but I noticed you pressed them up, which is what I want to do. I noticed that they sit better pressed up. Is it an error in the instructions? If I press down as they say, can I just cut off the excess?
@stacyrobbins
@stacyrobbins 7 ай бұрын
@@sassys1240 I do think that it is just a mistake in the instructions. Because the pattern maker definitely meant for it to be pressed up. Normally, darts that are in a armhole would be pressed down. But the pattern maker obviously did not plan for it to be done that way. And that's why it lays better when pressed up. That was the pattern makers design.
