The Hazet tie in is interesting. Mac and Hazet also share air impacts and I think parts trays. Probably a number of other things as well.

Yeah, I assume that is why people were speculating that these newest drivers would have been Oplast...I wish that would have been the case. These seem nice initially, but still on the spendy side for Taiwan made drivers. I suppose the foam trays help a bit, but I'd still say they are clocking in about 2x where they ought to be. I didn't realize they shared impacts...the Mac air impacts have always been appealing.

i use the Hazet impact screwdrivers at work, they're great, so are Gedores. i do not have any Mac tools though. nice video as always. thanks (edit: Hazet has updated their impact screwdriver style, they look square or maybe like Gedores where they are round except two opposing flats)

Mac is gonna be releasing purple handled axis ratchets here shortly

Orange and Green as well...Ironically my dealer told me that orange and green wrench cases were going away, at least on the PT. Will have to follow up on that one. I want to say Flyer 10 or 11 is supposed to have the new colorways, complete with foam.

Looks good

Thanks...I was quite pleased with this one, and the purple grows on you. I wish they weighed in a little lighter on the wallet, but I suspect most people will wind up with this by way of promos, or throw-ins, which sort of brings them back in line price wise.

I wonder why they choose to get the new screwdrivers from Taiwan, instead of their sister company in France. The later would justify the higher price.

I’ll be curious to know which you think are the best. I only own the USA’s (the Duratek hard handle style) and the old school orange hard handles (the square handles kinda similar to the old SK’s).

I'll have to run them thru testing, but I'm quite partial to the Made in USA style...Great grip and tank like chemical resistance...handles wipe clean without leaving red rag traces all over it etc. That said, I also really like feel of the soft grip. I would rate the newest style (purple) higher than the Macsimizer (green).
