After the Tower 28 mascara gave me an eye infection about four months after opening, I have decided to use mascaras only for a month or two at most. And so pretty much only use minis now. So even if minis and regular mascaras may be different, I definitely am preferring to see reviews of the minis now.

Agreed. A mini mascara is the best mini you can get because we do need to throw them away often. I am recovering from a terrible eye infection. Actually, I lie. I am recovered. Past tense. But a few months ago I got a terrible one and it just makes you rethink every product. I went into my stash and threw away every open mascara and most of my open eye pencils. There is nothing worse than an eye infection and they are so uncomfortable and terrible that it makes you rethink everything you’ve been doing that could be considered a little bit lazy or carefree around the eyes

I’m using the benefit a lot. It’s just a little less messy to takeoff and less heavy than the Huda but has a nice amount of drama.

I love the Benefit one on you. The KVD is eh, What is the plus on wearing tubing mascaras? Right now I just bought the Huda Wow one, and it’s gorgeous! But, you are so right, what a PITA getting that one off! And, yes, in the morning some is still on, when I thought I got it all off! I used to wear the Better than sex mascara, was my HG, now but I like the Huda one better.

The tubing are better only in the fact that they come off easily and won’t transfer if you tend to get raccoon eyes. They’re gentler in general.

It’s called Clinique lash power mascara. In black or deep brown, I love both colors. My other favorite mascara (also tubing) is hourglass unlocked and the surratt.

I dont wear mascara everyday unless im going out somewhere. Im currently using VB one and its ok. Ive never tried a tubing mascara but would love to. I am a racoon eye prone girl. I just got the new KVD one because I LOVE tubing mascaras. My favorite is the Tarte one on my upper lashes (LOVE the DRAMA) and the Thrive mascara on my lower lashes. I’ll have to try the KVD out when I finish up the Tarte one I have open, but I can already tell, it isn’t going to give me enough volume. Generally, I am not a lover of Benefit mascara, so we shall see. Compared to the KVD, though, the Benefit is much more dramatic (which I do like).

Oh wow!! The Benefit Fan Fest is LOVELY!! I have to add it to my list! I have two mascaras I am using a mini NARS Climax and Milani Highly Rated. I have a small container of other unopened ones 😅 I don’t want multiple open at one time but it’s annoying bc I am dying to get the GXVE, Huda, Gucci, PMG (at your recommendation, thank you ❤) and now this Beneft one! I just use a dab of pure baby oil to get off stubborn mascara so I have no fear of tough mascara 😅 I loved this video-you looked lovely❤

As far as I can remember, I’ve tried just two tubing mascaras: Tarte and Caliray. Neither holds my curl, and I won’t repurchase. They do fine on the lower lashes, so at least they won’t go to waste. Only waterproof mascaras hold curl and don’t run, so I stick with UD Perversion waterproof. I also liked the Wayne Goss mascara for less drama. UD Perversion is the most like my favorite regular mascara, Rare Beauty.

My go to mascara is the tubing mascara from Thrive Causemetics. I’m blessed with fairly thick, long lashes. My lower lashes are also quite long. I used Thrive for so long I don’t remember what I used to buy. I do have a Victoria Beckham and a Chantecaille sitting in my makeup drawer. Most days I don’t curl my lashes. On me curled lashes look a bit over the top during the day. I love looking at new mascara but I can’t pull myself away from what works so well for me. I remember trying the Surratt tubing mascara but I don’t remember why I switched. I too love the Surratt eyelash curler. In my opinion it’s the best. By the way, your hair is especially pretty today.❤

I have short, stubborn, Asian lashes . I have to use a heated curler daily☹️. I find only dry (waterproof) formulas help hold curl (but they still flop a bit within minutes) .

Around the 12.30 minute mark, she starts talking about her favorites Tubing Mascara’s: Surratt and Tarte are her favorites. This one is okay. She likes the Victoria Beckham, but it clumps. Personally, I also like the Thrive, the Milani, and the She Glam (particularly for my lower lashes). I’ve also tried Blinc, not my favorite. My #1 is definitely the Tarte, but I haven’t tried the Surratt.

The lovely Rabbi Roz is right! Tarte is the BEST tubing. Hands down. Try Surratt tho. It's such a reliable every day. As far as non tubing, Huda 1 Coat Wow for drama but it's heavy and messy to remove. Good old PML Dark Star, which I think is on sale on her site right now. Scott Barnes has an AMAZING mascara called Maxxx Out. And this new Fan Fest is REALLY good. Not too heavy, not TOO dramatic but so pretty!

Ohhhh, why do you like the Huda over the benefit? I am torn between the two myself. Another influencer thought the benefit is cleaner and less clumpy than the Huda, but you said you like the Huda over Benefit? Can you elaborate on why? (Wish those would be head to head!). Edited to add: just heard your final thoughts on why. Huda 25% more dramatic, but Benefit easier to get off. What about the clumpy factor?

Hello! I do not have any clumping issues with the Huda mascara but it’s very heavy. It is a dramatic mascara so I think that can be confused for clumping because the mascaras that focus on volumizing tend to have a little bit more of the clumpy look than a lengthening mascara so I think that might be the confusion there. Basically, I have decided that the Huda is more of a going out in Mascara. It looks amazing on but it’s such a pain to get off. The benefit is beautiful drama for every day but it’s not as volumizing and therefore might seem less clumpy if that makes sense.

Ooohhhh a mascara show down! I LOVE IT! I seem to gel well with Benefit mascaras. I am a dramatic lash person. Roller Lash was my favorite for years, then each tube suddenly started to dry out so quickly! They either changed the formula or started selling old, old tubes so I moved on. Fanning/volumizing sounds right up my alley! I’m putting the Benefit in my Sephora cart. I also have the Tarte tubing in my cart to try! A more dramatic tubing mascara…I’m in! I like the VB tubing mascara! I get a fluffy look from it. (But the packaging is so beautiful it mesmerizes me, and I cannot separate the experience of using it with the performance itself.) Nothing can be as dramatic as the Huda. I love volume, and it’s terrifying to use for me. It builds so quickly I don’t know what to do and feel a little panicked. 2/3 drama sounds like the sweet spot for me!

I use the benefit Bad Girl The others run under my eyes I do have long lashes even the bottoms they though the skin and run. So haven’t found one yet that doesn’t. I guess my concealer or foundation has sonething to do with it

I love a mascara review!!! Ironically, I just picked up the Benefit mascara yesterday when I was at Ulta for my brow wax. I’ve always enjoyed their mascaras and their brow products, so it wasn’t a heavy push for me to pick it up during my visit. As soon as i got in the car, I immediately applied and it is quite lovely!! I would say I was very impressed with the deep pigment as well as the volume and separation It did not clump at all either. I’ve long abandoned the KVD brand. I loved their eyeshadow palettes at one time (not sure if they even make palettes any longer) but that was a lifetime ago. The Tarte mascara is amazing but I typically love all their mascaras. For goodness sake, I still put the Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes as one of my all time favorite mascaras😂 I still haven’t tried the Huda mascara. I’ll have to go back to the video but i think i didn’t pick it up because it sounded difficult and i dont think i wanted to fool with it at the time Thanks for the review!!! By the way, I picked up the full-size instead of the mini.

I am really enjoying this new benefit mascara. It’s really nice and it’s good to hear that the full-size works well also. I’m going to try the new too faced primer underneath it as I hear that is a good match. The Huda is just a bit heavy. And messy to take off. But once you apply it it is gorgeous and dramatic. Good for a night out. For every day it’s just a bit much.

I’m impressed with this new mascara but i did recently purchase the PML Dark Star mascara during that sale she has going on now. I like to convenience of removal of tubing mascaras, but so many of them are so heavy and weigh down my lashes and make them straight. At that point it's like why did I bother. The worst is Milani Highly Rated, which is supposed to be a dupe for Thrive but it's really bad. So far the only one I like is CaliRay.
