The dial is way easier to use. Your absolutely right you don’t even have to shift from your seat to make changes. On touch’s screens the first thing you do is shift in your seat and brace yourself with the other hand on the wheel and subconsciously want to steer

Your review convinced me to place an order for the new CX-5 Exclusive-line Automatic with Driver's Assistance Pack DAP Bose. Mine will come with adaptations due to being disabled. I currently have a 2019 Kadjar GT-line 160 Manual TCE with Bose. I was waiting for the Austral but I hate Google and I want Bose speakers. Separate from cars, I set up a grey import motorcycle club in England to cater for Japanese imports with Nihon literature. I started translations in 1998, am learning Japanese/Nihon language and am respectful of their culture. Mazda speaks to me personally and I understand everything they say. It's not a mongrel car like Toyota, Suzuki and Lexus. Watching it being produced in-house resembles my motorcycle production line.

The middle seat hit you in the face because you used the pull toggle. Use the auto retract levers in the boot to release whichever seat back you want from the boot, which is where you will be loading long items in any way. BTW, I have one and you can use touchscreen if you turn it on and the car is stationary, which is good as the other person said, using touchscreen while driving is just as dangerous as using a mobile.

@@josephgittos3787 My CX-5 turbo does 0-60 mid 6's for sure, for under $40.000 CAD ...and it has a much better recall record compared to anything range rover , not to mention resale value .

The boot has an electric push button open and close system. I don't know how you think it doesn't.

Mazda CX-8 should replace CX-7 in South Africa the CX-8 should get a mild facelift that's all & CX-5 should get discontinued for CX-50 second half of 2024 CX-3 should also get discontinued .

Hi Friend-We have eyes, why use 1/3 of the vid to describe how the car looks, and then in the end, You keep on about the looks again . It is personal how we like or unlike the way a car looks.Show us the things we do not see, what is under the hood, Japaneese cars usualy looks like the components ar thrown in with a showel.How is the bottom-places where the rust can get hold in of the steel? What is the tech build ect ect. Sorry but a completely uninteresting video!

I found the CX5 a terrible car.. So slow for two litre engine, bouncy on corners. Had CX5 Sport which was not true. Sun roof so small it was useless. No automatic hand brake, no touch screen. wipers stopped mid window when engine switched off. Had to bang the doors to close them properly. Indicators were so small. Back seats more comfortable than the front.

I know this is an old post but it has touchscreen when stationary now (sensible) and also has electronic parking handbrake with auto hold ?. I am still going to test drive… it’s just th power aspect that worries me- the rest looks great to me compared to the screen based dashboards of competitors (Sportage, Austral etc)

The back is a bit small I’d say if your over 6.2 you might feel a little cramped but no more than any other car. The shining reviews is because it’s drives so good not for its space.

@@caskraker You say conservative, I'd say clean and minimalistic. I think it will age very well. Those cliche Korean cars with cheap digital gauge screens will look terrible in 5 years, it will be like looking at an iphone 7, I don't buy it. And they won't drive as nice as a CX-5.
