Not that I don't have enough Oscilloscopes, some way higher functionality, but that Micsig 300MHz unit could be tempting for portable use.

What an excellent looking scope. The huge screen is a awesome! Would like to see how good the FFT is on this unit. Also, it's of a size and form factor that makes it easily transported, and given its battery powered too that's obviously what it's designed for, but how tough do you think it is? Will it stand up to a bit of rough and tumble? It's a shame it doesn't get supplied with a carry case, or at least a neoprene sleeve. It's beyond my price range; I max out bandwidth on my 100 mhz scope so rarely the cost would be a waste for me, but given the feature set it's not stupidly expensive compared with 300mhz offerings from other vendors. Nice bit of kit.

I like the big screen. I would like to see effect of the input filters on noise at high sensitivity (small input level). That is a unique feature that is similar to some very old Tek scope plug-ins. I like knobs over touch screens on scopes, but the lack of knobs is better for field use since there is nothing sticking out to break, plus the added screen size is a plus. I like that the probes don’t have X1/X10 switches. Can you change the time base or sensitivity with two finger gestures?

Nice scope, but I THINK I would prefer buttons n knobs and the extra battery life. I'd fear it might stay in it's box. However, I guess till you see and use it in the flesh best to reserve judgement.

My MIcsig ST2302c has buttons and knobs, which you can use to quickly adjusting time base, horizontal and vertical divisions. Something I find essential .

I just bought the Micsig SATO1004 Automotive scope. I have a Picoscope but got this because of the AIO interface and portability. Only downside is there is no Custom Probes option for scaling pressure transducers. Maybe they can add this feature in the future with an update.

Great review, but not sure about the bug because when you change from dot mode to vector its doing exactly what you asked and just joining the dots so you clear the menu away and its jagged because its just joined the few dot's up, then you change the range bearing in mind you have 'Auto Ranging' ON so it resets the range then of course when you go up its changed the range to something it thinks is more useful because you have it on Auto Ranging ?..that's my 2 pence worth...cheers.

When going from dots mode ONLY at the fastest timebase setting instead of going back to sinx/x it is going to a vectors mode, if they add a vectors to sinx/x switch control like they have for dots, then it would allow you to see the lines by choice like when the bug pops up and fails to go back to sinx/x.

Is it possible to use hardware low pass filter to increase the 8 bit resolution in this scope ? Could you zoom the top of the sinus in 'stop' mode ?

Is the sample rate divided among the other inputs? How is its XY mode performance?

As I mention in the video a couple of times, the sample rate is divided between channels (as is very commonly done on most scopes out there), I suggest watching all of the video as I cover a lot of information in it.

A 300Mhz scope needs 500MHz probes! Otherwise you will NEVER get the full 300MHz bandwidth. ...OOOPS MICSIG!

maybe the probes are not 3dB down at 300MHz, I haven't tested the probes themselves yet.
