This insider is def on my radar. I have to do a brake job on my car, front and rear, and I have been looking for an electric ratchet. My first electric ratchet.

As a person with bigger hands; I like the paddle. It allows me to hit the button almost anywhere my hand is on the ratchet. It gets caught up so rarely that I barely notice the extra size compared to a button

Had an incident when I was jamming out to master of puppets. everything was going good on this water pump take down. Until I backed out the bolt too far and got the ratchet pinned against the body and the bolt. Had the biggest “oh shit” moment in a while. Long story short, was able to switch the ratchet back to tighty with a dental scraper pick and all was well. So thankful Milwaukee did this new feature.

Honestly I have the right angle impact and it’s done the job so far. Although that insider ratchet is something I really want especially when working on engines

You think you could do a video on what tools you use on the 4runner? I'm trying to build out a Milwaukee set and it would be cool to see where you use a 1/2" impact vs a 3/8" impact mid/high torque, insider etc.

Wish Milwaukee made a short neck version. I barely use my speed m12 anymore cause of the insider is my go to but at times it’s too long

I would still use my hand rachet for those coils.

So you can put other brand sockets on the anvil?
@BlakesGarage4 ай бұрын
Yes, 3/8 and 1/4 can use any regular college.

This ratchet is a good idea, but unfortunately it is a flop. The ratchet tends to lock up at low loads and has a tendency to lag.
@shaunclancey1107 Жыл бұрын
yea i was super excited for it but the TTC video made me pretty concerned, if they fix the detents and skipping it should be fine
@sakaraist Жыл бұрын
That's nothing new, it's been a common occurrence with electric ratchets for ages, both my first gen milwaukee ratchets did it and the snap-on I had before as well. If I've got to break things loose, that's what the ratcheting function is for. Otherwise, i'm using an impact anyway. My only gripe with it is that the sockets fit significantly more snugly in on one side than the other. If your intending to be puttiing a decent load on it, right angle impacts are a better bet if you need the form factor.

My guy. It is a ratchet. This is like buying a Prius and complaining that it's slow. If you want a fast car, buy a fast car. If you want a 90° impact, buy a 90° impact.
@itspapaj47322 ай бұрын
@@YuckFou0x0FFFF it's like buying a Prius that gets horrible gas mileage. I'm not complaining that it's slow, but rather simply pointing out that for the price they're asking, this ratchet sucks. As far as power goes, I'm not expecting huge numbers, but you always should expect it to have at least enough power to be comparable to the high speed ratchet which is around 20-25ft lbs of torque...
@YuckFou0x0FFFF2 ай бұрын
@@itspapaj4732 Torque Test Channel did a video on this. They showed It as around 40-50 ft lbs off trigger pull with an appropriate battery. + a little nudge to get it just passed 60.

anyone know the difference between the 3050-20 and the 3050-21?
@BlakesGarage5 ай бұрын
-21 comes with one battery and most likely a charger -20 is just the tool. If the part number says -22 it comes with two batteries and HO means high output.

Hello Blake's Garage I just found your channel and subscribed. Question for you, is there a SAE version of the sockets?😊
@BlakesGarage Жыл бұрын
Yes there is you do have to order that one from Milwaukee. But it’s also nice that it has the 3/8 adapter so you can use basically any of the sockets that you already have. Plus it has a quarter inch adapter as well.
@LoveMyMagMoreThanYou10 ай бұрын
@@BlakesGarageThere actually is a 1/2" adapter available for purchase separately also.

A couple of disappointing features is it doesn’t go to 3/4” pass through for 1/2” all thread and it doesn’t fit Astro low profile sockets proprietary was not the way to go I would much rather buy a tool that works with other sockets especially if you break or loose a socket
@BlakesGarage11 ай бұрын
You can use all the normal sockets you have with this no problem with the 1/4 or 3/8 anvil
@DownloaderVideo10 ай бұрын
On bigger sockets making them pass through would make them weaker probably braking while in use. And regarding their proprietary sockets remember Milwaukee is a company and the goal is to make money, improving a tool while creating necessary accessories and add ons for such tool plus expanding their catalog is a win win for them.
@jorgeherrera4194 Жыл бұрын
Do they have 12-point sockets with that set?
