Nobody in this comment thread understands. This isn’t a felling saw, it is a climbing saw. See the lanyard attachment point where the battery is? This saw is for limbing while climbing in a tree or in a bucket truck. No it will not drop a tree as well as stihl ms250 or 262 but that isn’t what it’s designed for this is a top handle saw like a stihl 194t or husqvarna t435. Anyone who’s climbed a tree knows it sucks have to start a saw every five minutes in between rigging or climbing to another limb. Battery saws are awesome for that. Just pull the trigger and cut.

I have the makita 10' , have had it for 2 years now. Runs great. But yes, the torque and thermo safety cut off is a problem.. but on after use cleaning, be sure to periodically disassemble the chain brake actuator spring.. it builds up sawdust and creates friction, which activates the thermo safety cut off more often.

How would you compare it to Ego's new 16 inch chainsaw as far as power, comfortability on the handle, and trigger control? Sincerely, That brown guy that you didn't know you needed 🤣

all you had to do was time travel and you could've bought one. As the description says: "will hit shelves in January 2023"

These do not perform or cut as long as gas powered, good for light yard work only.

I can carry some gas and oil and cut for hours. To do that with an electric I would need a bank of batteries, generator and the gas to run it. This is all a bunch of hype.

The Milwaukee runs at 15m/s... Meanwhile the new Makita XGT top handle saw runs at 25m/s.

Just my opinion, having used the Milwaukee 16" and the Makita...that extra speed might be the reason the Makita kept throwing it's chain I wonder? Maybe I had a bad luck of the draw, but the Makita threw it's chain 3 times while cutting for about ½ hour with it. The Milwaukee did also lose the chain once to be fair...but I cut for about 6 hours before it did.

Makita fast chain speed no torque ..

I prefer torque over speed, I used my m18 16” saw then switched to a Husqvarna 51 air Injection saw and kept stalling it, the Milwaukee powers though. I found it hard to stall the Milwaukee saw without pressing down ridiculously hard, whereas the Husqvarna stopped easily, it works great if you let the saw do the work, but I tend to try to push it and end up stalling it.

Did milwaukee LIE to us again ? To be out for sale in January well February is almost over and still no saw ?

My 43cc Makita will still be cutting when those saws are in the landfill.

This is for stuff around the home. Odds and ins here and there. Not for a tree logger, a person could more than happily get their money worth out of this tool. Especially if you have the batteries. No gas. It's better for small stuff like that. My milwaukee tools have all lasted a long time with a lot of abuse outside in the Texas sun for years. You get your money's worth if you're not getting them wet or dropping them.

i agree with you. I myself would never by something of the M18 Lineup but still i use my electrical Stihl chainsaw at home to cut some firewood. Still i have to choose a saw for actual work it would be a gas operated one

It will be 6 years since Milwaukee released their only chainsaw. Makita has 6, Dwelt has 6, including a 20 inch. Milwaukee has done literally nothing for 6 years. The design of this saw is clunky and lazy, just like the last one; if you don't use the 15Ah battery, then there is empty wasted space unlike on the small Dewalt. I Completely regret investing in Milwaukee, they were on fire, but they just completely gave up here, zero effort or innovation. I'll keep using the M12 system because it's great, but I'm probably dumping Milwaukee for my bigger tools. When Ryobi makes you look bad, it's just sad. Ryobi has like 5 chainsaws. I'm so unbelievably disappointed in Milwaukee.
@drwhat45742 жыл бұрын
Why is number of chainsaws your standard for a good manufacture? That’s just silly.
@DanPelle84 Жыл бұрын
Just FYI, Milwaukee and Ryobi are made by the same parent company TTI
@danlux4954 Жыл бұрын
You can use the 12Ah battery and 8Ah battery. That’s why the space is bigger. Milwaukee doesn’t make a 15Ah battery.
