Can this unit not be used for a single zone setup? My local installer is telling me it can't, and recommending the 9000 btu unit. I am only cooling 1 room in my home.

Then just get 1-1 9k unit. If you get a multi-zone you have to have a minimum of 2

These units seem quite a bit louder than the larger MLZ units. Quiet fan speed on the 6k unit is about as loud as the 2nd highest speed on my 12k units. The airflow sounds more turbulent in my opinion. Would you agree? #DuctlessPlus

@@ductlessplushvac Thanks, It's pretty quiet still. Just noticeably louder than my 12k MLZs, 15k SLZ, 12k MSZ-FS, or even the 12k PEAD in the attic.
