You should try Spike’s Atraxa Goryo’s list. It has less explosive potential but doesn’t fold to certain decks

It’s unique, but hinges too heavy on the graveyard in this endurance riddled format. Personally I’ve mopped the floor with this deck the 3 times I’ve played against it. Needs work imo

Ya i also wondering why how he reanimate Emrakul, because when Emrakul goes to the graveyard from anywhere it needs to shuffle your graveyard to your library. There's no "you may" option that says you cannot shuffle

@@k1llahcam187 so I'll have to watch again, but apparently, emrakul going to the GY puts the GY shuffle onto the stack, then you can goryo, as it's an instant, and reanimate emrakul before the shuffle occurs.

Everything that relies so much on the graveyard alone is a big no for me. Explosives, but folds to several hate post side. Yawgmoth is probably the only gy-based deck that can play around gy hate or quickly tutor for answers.

This deck does not rely on the graveyard alone and is why it is so powerful. Grief/Solitude + Ephemerate blows out everyone who mulligans to hate and Leyline Binding is very flexible. GB Yawgmoth is a great matchup with the removal this deck has. There is a reason this deck won the Modern Challenge last weekend

​@@HarryMTG decks winning challenges once in a while mean very little. The surprise factor needs to be taken into account when a new deck pops up. Even BG Rock won MOCS right after the Lurrus ban but it mostly performed like shit on average since then. The same was for Tameshi bloom that fell short. Grief + Ephemerate, outside of leyline of the void, works like a charm because it doesn't fold entirely to FoN and heavily disrupts the hand at T1. Yawgmoth being a good matchup has nothing do with yawgmoth being a proven more solid strategy pre and post side. This deck folds to so many cards already in the sideboards that it's hard to say it can become a tier 1. Folds to blood moon, leyline of the void, dauthi, endurance, dress down, pithing needle, counterspell just to name a few.

Still hits the graveyard. Goryeo's Vengeance + Emrakul is a classic combo because it's an instant speed reanimate, so it can reanimate Emrakul while the shuffle trigger is on the stack.
