I’ll go first:
I’m Christina. I’m married to my best friend, Seth, we have 5 kids (ages 2, 3, 6, 10, & 14), and love our family, Jesus, and adventuring together.
We are passionate about being counter culture, including alternatives to traditional schooling. I have experience as a public school teacher, private school teacher, and homeschool mom!
I love the Charlotte Mason education approach, and many others, but I’d say we are more of an eclectic homeschool-mixing the different aspects of homeschool styles that we love-living books, literature-based learning, Montessori, nature study, and so much more!

Such a beautiful curriculum 🍃 🐸 As a former teacher, were you able to teach nature study to your students? I’m curious to know where your love of nature study came from 🥰 I’m in my 4th year homeschooling and it wasn’t until this year that we started our nature study. Our appreciation for nature has grown so much 💛

Not really-the curriculum was pretty fixed, unfortunately…but our first honeschool unit study ever was North American Birds and that got us hooked on nature study!!

I have to say when I do nature study I don't want to do any work like crossword puzzles or any math or anything like that. I want nature study to be amazing and fun and all about nature and art.

I can totally understand that! I think Nature Study Club is best suited for people who like a more unit study style approach that ties in with other topics and subjects!

Where did you get these journals printed? I love how the cover had the plastic sheet over it for protection.

I was thinking that too. I did n it start homeschooling my kiddos until they were in 7th and 9th grades. I know have a high schooler and am raising my granddaughter who is going to be 2 in August. This year will be interesting homeschooling a high school student and having a toddler.

You could laminate those life cycle wheels to make them more durable. Is this in any way religious?

How long does it take your family to do this?

It depends on the day-some of the days have activities take longer than other…and depending how many lessons we do. Yesterday we did 3 lessons and it took us about an hour…today we did two and it took about 30 min…
