I personally just doubled socked it. Buying extra socks at the NEX is a smart idea, esp since people WILL steal your clothes. Yes, even your skivvies for some ungodly reason? But the double socks will provide foot cushion, and will fill any space in the boots you were given WAY too big 😂. Dub sock up!!!

The moleskin is definitely a plus to some, I didn’t have problems with blisters, but they also sell moleskin at the NEX on base, make sure to grab it when you go to the nex your first time going there in P-Days

I hate the blisters I had. I went in the Navy after college and was an All American track runner. I could barely run. Out of all the years I ran track and cross-country, I never got blisters like that until I got my boots.

I didn't use moleskin in basic, but I did use Dr. Scholl foam insoles that helped. Fortunately in my career field we usually wore low quarters instead of boots. Much easier on the feet. Give Papa a treat.

My son graduated GL 2 weeks ago, He didn’t say much except the ROM at Ft. McCoy was really, really boring. He did say they crammed 8 weeks of training into 6 weeks once they got back GL. They did NOT do the gas chamber, but everything else. He’s going through quarantine at A-School in Monterey right now.

Ive been wearing steel boots for maybe a year and half now almost everyday. I used to get blisters on my heel and front of foot. Idk if I've gotten used to them but I think it matters how you walk or run in then too. If you dragging your feet or not picking up your fee properly you'll get more blisters that way. I think if they're too tight or loose too.

dude wearing those boots for the first 3 weeks was terrible. A lot of guys in my boot camp class got reallllly bad foot fungus and that shit is really hard to get rid of once you have it. I would recommend bringing foot powder, good feet inserts if they let you.. they didn't let us have the Dr. Scholz inserts when I went through and I ended up getting really bad plantar foot because of it. Take care of your feet folks.. they are important lol.

You should react to the space force video that DWK reacted to For females you can also use sanitary napkins as “moleskin.” I never used anything but it worked for females in my division. Jsit try not to use too many for your feet cuz you can’t really go back to the NEX to buy more unless your RDC is super nice about it
