I was a big Iron Madien fan growing up. Nemophila has covered my two favorites, the Trooper and Aces High. Saki is a big supporter of Babymetal, as I am. Tamu Murata is undeniably my favorite drummer, and highly regarded around the world. Of course there are other fabulous drummers in Japan with countless devoted fans.

This was their 1st upload and it happened in like early 20. The Aces High cover is even better. My favorite covers are the 2 for Maximum the Hormone Shimi and Zetsbou Billy and X-Japan’s-Kurenai. Of course all their originals slap.

Another of my favorite groups and I do speak japanese which makes it more fun for me. They do a lot of covers all great, Kiss, motley crue, even babymetal because they are fans of babymetal. All of their covers are just as great as this.

Not bad for there first upload to YT LOL .Super talented group with a YT channel brimming with entertainment from covers ,interviews ,sketches, and there own tracks which are just superb .Looking down the comments others have pointed out bands to look at .There is a wealth of talent in Japan for all music as you will see.

Great reactions. they have done many covers and they always kick ass. They also did a cover of Maidens Aces High. Hazuki singing backup to Mayu on the chorus on that one is superb. Check out some of their live ones they released too like Oiran,Revive,Now I here which is a ballad and has a great solo section with Hazuki and Saki. Oiran does not have a music video just a couple live ones which is just as good. Oiran was there first original they recorded and is usually the last song they play in a concert. sometimes its Life too. Revive has a live and a music video. Some others to try are Hypnosis,Monsters, Fighter, Sorai. There is also Blooming with the bass player singing some too. these ladies are amazing. Saw them live in Dallas back in march and they did an instrumental section giving mayu a rest and they started offf by playing trooper. She did not sing of course but it was kick ass just hearing the band play the whole song.

Man, I love Nemophila. I'd drop everything without question to go see them live if they came to the UK. They do another Maiden cover in the form of Ace's High, absolutely smashed that too. Id highly recommend Oiran live for a taste of their live sound, but also Now I Here live for their lighter side too. In terms of other asian bands, there's a list of seemingly infinite length. I'm gonna throw some suggestions out there, but Im also gonna order it from heaviest at the top to more melodic at the bottom because it's really goona depend on how you feel about screaming and brutal breakdowns for some of these (I love it all, but I also understand that others might not be quite so into it 😂) Heavy Deviloof - Damn (just for reference, this band is about as heavy as it gets before it just becomes screeching and white noise. Tamu is the best drummer I've seen live. Granted I'm not a huge concert-goer, but that still puts her above Phil Collins (in his prime) and Ed Shaughnessy. She and Haraguchi-san just lock into each other on stage creating this huge safety-net for whatever the melodic players want to do. That and her blast-beats: what more could one want? There was a wonderful period when Nemophila was putting out a new cover video every Friday. I'm still not entirely kidding when I said that I like Banana Song more than Life. (Life is still the best.) Of course, it would be utterly hilarious if you reached NiziU via the Nemophila cover rather than your exploration of Kpop.

Check out this live clip ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/opLLhXmwaMSknNE ), They do an instrumental of "The Trooper" Saki (right guitar) plays the guitar parts (mostly) and Hazuki (left guitar) does the vocals on her guitar. Check out Hanabie (Ha-Na-Bee-A ) for another Japanese metal (in their case Harajuku-core) band, I suggest starting with "We Love Sweets".

If you want to try out more - I have two suggestions * Hanabie (Fun girl band with a tiny heavy growler) * Ningen Isu (Three piece rock band from the 1980-ies, still active, and kicking ass) For Hanabie, I would start with the music video for "We love sweets" because that is the wildest one. For Ningen Isu the music video "Heartless Scat" is a good start. For Hanabie, please not that it is pronounced Ha-nah-bee-eh, the last e is not silent.

Great reaction! "Twas a huge Iron Maiden fan back in the day. Since "Life" was your favorite, you might try the live performance of their other ballad, "Now I Here". For more all female Japanese metal, try Aldious and their song "We Are". I'd go with the live performance with Maki Oyama on vocal. She has a killer voice!. There's also Lonesome Blue with their MV, "Face the Fear". Or....if you want to go back to Korea, check out DIH. Their hit single, "Not Enough" slaps. But they also cover Mr. Big as well as a rock cover of Blackpink's "Kill This Love"
