Hello Schnell Jordan. Congrats on over 100k subscriber's already, and again from me. I just love your reactions because you're so real(authentic) andi love your facial impressions when you hear Floor do something new with her voice that you haven't seen. BTW If I remember correctly this song was ask by someone to make by Tuomas. He hated the idea at first, and as irony would have it this and Nemo songs became songs that pretty much launched them to rest to the world's knowledge. I encourage you to see and listen the original Tarja version also. MV or concert, doesn't matter. Then you see how different the song really is when Floor sings it. This, Over the hills and far away, and Nemo are always those songs that I identify as Tarja songs. And I don't mean Floor doesn't sing this beautifully.

It's not only beatiful to hear Floor singing, but his facial expressions while she is singing is such a pleasure to watch too. One of the early Songs, it is about the solar eclips "two hundred and twenty two days of light will be desired by the night". Because that's the amount of time that went by before the eclipse (11th of August was the 223rd day of the year). At that time their german record Label asked to write a song about it. One of the terms was " not longer than 3 minutes", Knowing Tuomas, he made it 4+

The KZbin police are coming! 🚨. This song was released as a non-album single a few days before the full solar eclipse in August 1999, which is what it is mainly about. Tarja and Floor both do a great job with this one. I associate it more with Tarja, but will never complain listening to Floor sing anything.

The Tarja version you linked to is my favorite. It was produced when the band re-recorded the song in 2005 as part of the promotion of a compilation album. It really worth to check one Tarja's versions out as well, like End of an Era (kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZpaYeXSKmp6jrbs) unfortunately, after 17 it is still not possible to put a Tarja and a Floor version back-to-back without the comment section turning into battle zone.
