Dying this leg of the tour, the shows were cut a little shorter than normal because Floor was recovering from Breast Cancer surgery. This woman is a Paragon of human perseverance and dedication.

Some information about Henk, as you said he is a musical and opera singer and he was the official Phantom in the dutch production of the musical for several years. When she was a kid Floor went to that musical and was blown away by Henk, so she became a fan of him. When 4 years ago a Dutch TV asked Floor to join in the Beste Zanger TV show and she realized Henk was also at that show, she asked him to perform a duet of the Phantom. He agreed at the condition to do it one day also with Nightwish and Floor said ok. You can find the Beste Zangers perfomance on YT, it became viral and was a great success in the Netherlands. In that show Floor and Henk became good friends, and he was a guest star on Floor solo tour, performing the Phantom, but also "Dangerous Games" from the musical Jekyll and Hyde, and "Sweet Curse" a Floor's ReVamp song. All 3 songs are available on Floor's YT channel and are absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately the pandemic postponed the NW tour several times, but they finally had the chance to perform with Henk this November in Amsterdam.

Fun fact about this performance. 1.. After the Beste Zangers version, Henk made a promise to Floor and Nightwish that he would only perform the song with them/her whenever they toured near Amsterdam where he lived. After the pandemic postponed tours many times, Henk kept his promise and performed this song with them. 2) During their soundcheck, the band and Henk practiced this song in secret and surprised the audience with this song.. 17 years after Tarja performed it.

I believe that Floor's being in Beste Zangers in 2019 was that she heard that Henk would also be there, and being a fangirl of Henk since she was young wanted to meet him. Floor asked Henk if he would sing Phantom with her and he said only if he could then sing it on stage with her and Nightwish. So, in reality, it was less than 4 years, and Floor kept HER promise to him. Nightwish had not performed Phantom on stage for 17 years, ever since Tarja and the band had separated. NWA, correct me if I am wrong, please.

Henk Poort is a beloved stage actor and singer in The Netherlands. He has played Eric in Phantom hundreds of times. Floor was familiar with him growing up. They met in 2019 on a Dutch television show called Beste Zangers, where they first sang this together, and became good friends, and started the gears turning for this performance. Nightwish used to perform this song often with Tarja, but hadn’t since. They kept this a secret, and only performed it at the two Amsterdam shows. Keep exploring Nightwish and Floor.

Henk Poort is a Dutch baritone, has followed classical singing training at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. He won the Cristina Deutekom Competition during his singing training. Henk sang at various European opera houses, such as in Ulm and Krefeld (Germany). He made guest appearances for, for example, De Nederlandse Opera, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Hessische Staatstheater in Wiesbaden, the Nationale Reisopera, the VARA (Opera matinee in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw). Henk Poort played the lead role of The Phantom in the Dutch production of The Phantom of the Opera from 1993-1996 and Floor was very enthusiastic about him in this role. Hi, thank you for a wonderul reaction. This performance will always be special to me since I was there with my wife that night. Im telling you, my goosebumps goosebumps had goosebumps! And we were sitting high up so we were far away feommthe stage. Had we been front row I would’ve fainted. And the place exploded when they started playing this song and Henk walked out! We Noghtwish-fans really love uncle Henk and he will always be Floors phantom. And even though she was recovering physically and mentally from her cancer surgery they actually added both this song and Ghost River to the setlist, making this the longest concert of the European leg. You could tell that she was held back physically because she wasn’t as energetic on stage as she can be. And that is understandable becuase she has said in an interview that she was still in pain after the surgery. But she still managed to have a Freddie Mercury level stage presence. She is the Valkyrie queen after all, so if anyone can do it it’s her.

I pulled out one of my chronograph watches, a Casio go shock and timed that last note and she held it for 12.2 Seconds!!!! Who else but Floor can hold that note so effortlessly for 12.2 seconds???

Several already mentioned that Henk played the Phantom for years, so he is pretty much THE man for the job. He's highly respected in the Netherlands and the direct region, and ofc among Nightwish fans, he's commonly referred to as "Uncle Henk" for his loving nature and the bond he has with Floor. And like Floor, he can change up styles quite easily and be good at it, even his range is similar impressive, which he shows a big part of in his cover of "The sound of silence" which he did for Floor on the Dutch tv show "Beste Zangers", so that might be something to check out for you as well :)

Well...Henk is a Dutch Phantom. This promise was made in Beste Zangers TV show , that he will sing this song with Floor and Nightwish, when they come to the Netherlands. And this song was a surprise to the fans. Nightwish performed this song last time 17 years ago with Tarja, and now the circle is complete... And that Crowd Roar, when Henk walked on stage, wearing Official "Nightwish Family" T-shirt, but that Floor's last note... it was insane 11 sec. This performance was absolutely electrifying ❤‍🔥!!!!!
