Hi. Thank you for this great video ! I'm new to photography, i do mainly 3/4 , front portrait and teeth. After several comparisons, this camera seems to me to be good value for money with 100mm lens. What do you think, in my situation, would you lean towards another camera?

For me, this only makes sense if you already have a fullframe Nikon Z body. Because the whole Nikon Z ecosystem is based on fullframe, and sensor stabilisation. But if you want "more reach", and don't want to get a Z8 (because maybe it's too expensive) this might fit the bill. Alongside a Z5 or Z6 II it could be a nice combination. A slow camera for general photography, and a fast crop camera with great AF for things like wildlife. The only downside being that the battery is different. But I think many people seem to like this camera. So I'm hopeful that this might prompt Nikon to take APS-C more seriously.

Go with Viltrox 75mm f1.2 and Viltrox 27mm f1.2. These are great on Sony and on Nikon as well. I wish nikon made an a6700 competitor... I'm really sad. Z50 had better ergo in every way. I would like to see a comparison between a6700 and Z50II.

Yeah it’s fine. ISO up and shutter up to make up for it. People are too scared of noise haha.

Only if your looking for a D500 replacement or are a total beginner other than that their are other Z series cameras that are more of the perfect camera. Remember it has an SD card in the 2nd slot and ca only shoot APS-C so if you need bugger files etc for work then it won't be the camera for you.

Again with the old sensor .....why ? are u a sensor technician? Can u tell me why Nikon went with old sensor instead of putting a sensor with trending technology into a budget camera? Are u saying the technician at Nikon is dumb compared to u..?... Nikon sensor is better than competition in the apsc line... Why reinvent the wheel.. there are high iso test in some sites like dpr review...check the sensor performance with competition..then come here and cry about Nikon putting old tech into the latest model

@Truth_seeker-bl5mi Cool down you old fart, you are talking as if Nikon company is owned by you. Don't fly off the handle. Yeah, I am not a sensor technician. I never knew that there were sensor technicians! Oh, and by the way, that sensor is a seven year old one taken from the parts bin of thev Nikon D500. Surely if I want to buy a new camera, I would expect new technology for my money. And if you don't know, they are deliberately crippling the Z50ii because they are going to replace the D500 soon with a highly capable crop sensor camera for birding and wild life.

I’ve seen mind blowing photos from that 7 year old sensor , much of the improvement for years hasn’t been the sensor but the chips & processing surrounding it

the camera is offering great value for the price , the sensor they are using is too good to be considered too old, the SOC is the key here and the SOC they are using is great, and don't even start with ibis because only Panasonic's ibis is the real ibis, rest is garbage and useless, also everyone uses gimbal now a days, i will gladly pay a little less and not get the useless ibis, instead i will use the extra money to get a gimbal.

Complainers about the sensor, it's an awesome sensor, I have a Z50 & I'm blown away with the quality, ISO performance of this camera. If you can't get decent images from a crop 20 mpx sensor you've probably not a good photographer in the first place. I come from a DSLR background and my 16 year old D700 DSLR can still put out superb images & it's 12 mpx! Learn how to compose your pictures, stop being lazy by cropping them. Stop drooling for the latest tech, the past 20 years have produced excellent cameras...
