They updated everything I heard people piss and moan about. I wish they still offered the Cummins in the XD, but nobody bought it. Nice truck and review!
@Bradamsmx54 жыл бұрын
I bought it. And I love it. NISSAN just didn't play the numbers game with the XD like the big 3 do. Wonderful truck, tows up to its rated limits with ease. Better at its "limits" than any other truck I have ever towed with. Less squat and more stable feel than any others.

Have you had any issues with tranny or engine on your truck I’ve read a lot of reviews online saying the truck isn’t reliable.
@Jackmerius_Tacktheretrix4 жыл бұрын
@@mechcam796 early model transmissions shifted really hard. Thing is if you've ever driven a medium duty truck like a freightliner FL60 or FL70 they shift the same, as soon as you hit second gear it locks up the torque converter and it remains locked up and down the gear range. On the rough side when empty but you'll appreciate it when towing or hauling. Pretty much every XD I see is a Cummins here in West Tx. Nissan just did a piss poor job marketing it and rushed it into production. Should have brought the half ton out first and took time tonwork out the shift logic in the transmission. This truck uses the same Aisin transmission Ram uses in their high output Cummins 6.7, and Ram owners also complained as well. I love mine. I also think its seriously under rated because I loaded 1500lbs of salt gel in my xd and 1500lbs in our F250 and the Ford squatted way more. The ass end was sitting way low, the XD just leveled out. In fact, with my bed cover you couldn't tell the nissan was hauling anything. Brakes are also very strong too. I think the only limiting factor is the semi floating axles. Thing is it squats less but still rides better than an F250. While some F150s may be rated to tow just as much and even haul more, they will squat down alot more hauling, and towing the XD is alot more stable because it weighs 7,000+lbs, so the trailer doesnt move this truck around as much. So with the XD having a 3/4 ton frame and pretty much everything else except the semi floating axle, you wouldn't wear it out towing 10,000lbs on the regular, where with a half ton, it would wear out alot quicker. So the fact it tows like a 3/4 ton but rides alot better makes it a perfect fit for what I need. I've had my XD for almost 3 years and 50,000 miles and no issues. I del3ted at 30k so I'm sure that helps as well.

I heard the early models of the Cummins had issues with the turbo but it was fixed. I think it was a lube thing
@Bradamsmx54 жыл бұрын
@@mechcam796 The only issue I have had was a turbo speed sensor failure at around 10k miles. Replaced under warranty. No issues since then. Not deleted, not tuned, 100% stock. All services performed at the recommended intervals at the dealership where it was bought. The transmission does shift a little hard. I haven't driven a HD truck that doesn't. I have yet to drive the 2020 F-series super duty with the 10 speed though. Every Allison or Aisin equipped truck I have driven shifts hard with no load. When you have a heavy load on or behind the truck, it feels much better.

I bought my 2018 Titan XD Pro4X for $39,000, a substantial discount off MSRP of $53,000. If you are looking at a new truck, I encourage anyone to look at the Titan. Quick math: 3.4 gallons * $2.68/gallon premium = $9.10 39 mile / 10.6 mpg = 3.67 gallons * $2.68/gallon regular = $8.37 In other words, if you're forced to pay for premium you're still spending more on gas than what you gain in efficiency. Don't get me wrong. The motor may be happier with 91, especially under towing load, but you're not saving any money.

Excuse my bad English folks. I purchase a brand new Titan sv 2017. At 17000 kilometres, the engine begin knocking. At 24000 kilometres, in June 2019, Nissan replace my motor (short block). Now this month at 35000 kilometres my motor knocking again. It is always the cylinder number 7 who is problematic. Real epidemic trouble. In my small town we are 3/3 with this trouble. On Facebook pages, I’ve seen A LOT of cases, I see guys who are on third motor on 2018 model. Also see people with this problem on 2019 model (Titan, armada.) Nissan seems to don’t have a clue about this problem. The 7 speed transmission on 16-19’ model doesn’t works well too, and seems to be change very often . Long story short, run for your life, you can see a video of my titan knocking on my profile. I swear to god, I don’t beat the truck at all really light works sometimes.

Love the Titan. Awesome skiing action. A little disappointed that Andre didn't pop up out of the water with a big Salmon between his teeth. How does he stand that ice ❄ cold water. This guy built Ford Tough or maybe winter diesel flows through his veins. Spasibo Andre.

Does the adaptive cruise control go down to 0mph and have stop-and-go like the f150? Or does it turn off at 25 mph like the tundra?

It will disengage when it comes to a complete stop then if you touch the gas to go it will engage again but it will stay engaged and work as long as you don’t come to a complete stop.

My 2016 altima comes to a complete stop on its own so I bet that a 2020 will come 2 a stop.

Love my Titan, there's very little I don't like about it. Like any truck, give and take. I averaged on 2200 kms two ways about 13.1 ltrs/100 I thought that was pretty decent. Not hauling. Three passenger, dog and full box of cargo traveling gear.

No wonder if in US gas is "cheap". Here in Europe...the gas, is 95 or 98 Octanes.
@philip600rr4 жыл бұрын
I don't know about cheap but the octane ratings suck on the West Coast. 91 octane is the highest rated stuff that is everywhere. 94 back east. There are some 76 gas stations where you can get 💯 octane. Also if you don't have a Cat you can get 116 octane at some racetracks still.
@kylecline32724 жыл бұрын
He’s at high elevation. 91 is the highest most people sell. 93 is sold in parts of the country closer to sea level. It sure why you’d ever need more on most stock engines.
@moliveros8894 жыл бұрын
The US uses a different octane rating method. 91 octane in the us is equivalent to 95 in almost everywhere else and 93 octane is equivalent to 98 RON.
@RogerM884 жыл бұрын
@@kylecline3272 I think modern engines are very sensitive about low octanes gas.

Can you guys give us more detail in your information. For example you always quote HP and torque ratings but never mention @ what RPMs. Another example is the new transmission on the pickup you mentioned that it's a new nine speed but what brand ZF, Allison? See what I mean. Thank you I love your channel.

Great vid👍interesting the 9 speed transmission does better especially running 91 octane, wonder how it go here in Australia on 98 octane? I wish Nissan adopt same badging n features of Titan for Navara or frontier.
@tammieandrzejczuk25734 жыл бұрын
in US we use a diffrent octane rating, basicly your 98 is like our 91-93
