Fantastic transformation. I agree with the other comments, it’s lovely seeing a realistic kitchen getting revamped. My hubby and I are renting a very small home with limited space. It’s not glamorous or picture perfect, but we make sure the space works for us.

I live in a one-bedroom apartment. It is not a luxury rental whatsoever. Very basic, but well-organized and clean. My furniture came from Habitat for Humanity Restore, not new or name-brand. I am planning a blog and video series just for my specific demographic because I know I am not the only one. Very nervous about it because I expect alot of negative judgment, but I decided I am proud of what I DO HAVE. I am just going for it!

Darcy L couldn't agree more. We have an old home and it was hard for awhile to be happy with it because everyone around me bought new homes or renovated theirs and we couldn't afford either. I never realized how something as simple as organizing what I have can make me feel so much better about my surroundings. It looks so put together. It's great.

I use an empty tissue box as a bag dispenser and I LOVE it. So compact and fits dozens of bags!

I used an old kleenex box for bad batteries too, so I can dispose them properly. For bags I use old lysol wipe containers and bring them to the car. I had something spill on the kleenex box when I used it for bags and had to throw it all out. That's why I thought to use the lysol wipe containers. I also use them for toys- as water slides lol I tape them together and my kids love it.

Heather K yes my daughter taught me how to tie those plastic bags up so they are small and you just pull it apart to expand them. She then showed me to store them in an empty Kleenex box too!

I have a 'sleeve' for plastic bags. It's a pretty cotton fabric with elastic at the top and bottom. A loop hanger on top. I keep it hung from an over-the-door hook. It holds tons of bags.

I LOVE how you make the insides of the drawers and cabinets "PRETTY"...I've tried to really focus on this concept with organizing my kitchen this time...and caught myself opening the cabinets just to look at them one more time....one ty hing I did with my cookie cutters...I put them into a ziplock bag...and then cut down a pretty gift bag...and put them in there...LOVE IT! This vlog was a massive help to me as I have moved house and have a small kitchen and couldn’t work out where to put everything. So I pulled everything out, decluttered and got rid of things I had doubles of or no longer use. I used tubs and caddies in my cupboards and now it is beautiful, organised and functional. Even something as simple as paint & new hardware can make a HUGE difference! There are a lot of places you can find paint for cheap & even free! Paint & hardware stores usually have different sizes of paints on clearance (usually the color was mixed wrong, paint samples they don't need, returned products, etc.) Also, habitats for humanity is wonderful for items to upgrade different rooms. Also, you can call around to recycling centers since they have discarded paint they cannot dispose of & will allow people to have it. For hardware, search clearance aisles, thrift stores, etc. too. Craft stores like Hobby Lobby & Michael's have sales all the time and you could probably score paint brushes and such for a very low-cost.

I have already decided to change out my dishes and not have so many. I use to entertain and had so many dishes. Now I live in a apartment that might be 740 square feet. Hey Sandra! My kitchen has that space above the cabinets and I decorate it with white ceramic such as serving dishes, cake stands, water pitchers, extra large bowls and the like. It's functional AND pretty! And if you want to add a little something, you can add greenery like artificial vines and topiaries. My preference is for green plants only... no additional colors/flowers.
