Well based on his comments in the previous game he point out Rattler's faults to appease his starting QB and players pick up on that ... instead of giving more encouragement he was still hoping DC would be able to start. If the HC don't have confidence in the QB why should the players.

So much was so awful I feel like this gets overlooked, but the starting center (McCoy) got injured very early this game too. Thankfully we had a backup ready to go, but losing your starting center early can really hurt a team offensively. Just one contribution to the 'woes' of this game.

@mikeboyer7985 Nah man he got one injury in week 3 which sadly took hin out for a long time. Then we started him but it reaggravated the injury. This is the 2nd (unrelated) injury this year and it looks like it might not be too serious, thankfully

Injuries hurt but they are a part of the game. That’s when good depth comes into play. The saints have no good depth at EVERY position. Terrible and failure management by DA. Sean Payton always created good depths throughout 10+ years. When a player was hurt, we didn’t need to worry too much

That game was like playing Madden and one teams players were rated 99 overall and the other team was rated 10 overall. Couldn't even get in the red zone. Talent disparity unbelievable. Like a junior college team playing a good highschool team

2 weakest mfs are Saunders and shephard up the middle. They get bullied on every snap getting pushed around and opening holes for RB to run. They are former backups on their previous teams, only a team like the saints would make them starters

There were so many hurt players with no real depth. That's what hurt this team all season. New coaching staff needed, but who would take this job because the players that will have to be here because of all the contracts would make it harder for the new staff to sign the guys the want. These next two games will be very telling of who actually wants to play and be back next season.

I'm not going to say Rizzi is a good coach, but I'm also not going to throw him under the bus for this season. It would be like a fighter getting into a car reck and losing his arms and legs. The head trainer is fired, and a new one is hired to get the fighter ready for his next fight. They use tape and ropes to tie a bunch of pool noodles to his body and tell him to get in there and try his best. The trainer is doing the best he can with what is left of the fighter.

QB1 Carr, RB1 Kamara, RB2/TE1 Taysom, WR1/2/3 Olave/Shaheed/MVS, C McCoy all not playing. Show me one team that you can whack 7 starters out of the lineup and they don't suck. How tf does this not stand out as the glaringly obvious headline here. Put Rizzi in the ring with one arm tied behind his back and then take a baseball bat to one kneecap and see if he can throw down. The game was still an embarrassment in all respects but for the love of god what do you people want from these guys?

It's also just simply not possible to build a roster so deep that you can be missing 64% (7 out of 11) of your starters and still expect the team to be competitive. You can't excuse 0 points but there's just not enough money and dudes out there to have starting caliber players 3 slots deeper than your regular starters at every position
