So refreshing to see someone that "really knows" how to make New Orleans style BBQ shrimp ( no bbq sauce used) 🤣Man, when you used all that butter, and said heavy on the black pepper, that was all it took for me to know you were making the real deal!!! That is my absolute favorite way to eat shrimp. It just don't get any better and big props for doing that over coals and not breaking the butter! Excellent video brother!!! I'm sharing this one for sure!

Thank you for the great video well done 👍 my friend from Mississippi use to make this for all of us years ago and it was a huge hit I remembered most of the ingredients but had lost his moms recipe so wasn’t sure on the specific amounts hard to find shrimp around here with the heads on so hopefully the ones without will be fine I’m looking forward to making it this weekend

Cooked it twice now on the stove and it is deeeliiiciious! I'd say the trickiest part for stove-top is keeping the sauce from separating. I've had the butter and Worcestershire sauce separate on me twice now! But once I got by that it's sooo worth it!
@CentralCityBBQ3 жыл бұрын
I'm glad you enjoyed them. The key is to add the butter a slowly, and a little at a time. You also have to keep whisking it to help it from seperating.

OMG!!! I made this tonight and it was freakin incredible! I was so excited to eat it, I forgot to add the green onions! Oh well… Things I will do different next time, peel the shrimp, after adding the shrimp, only cook them on one side for a minute, turn them turn everything off, put in oven while plating. Serve! This way you will get all that marvelous sauce on the shrimp and not your fingers! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. It was fabulous! ❤🦐❤

Ok sooooo I a question I live in New Orleans why is it called bbq shrimp but I don’t see any bbq being added
@CentralCityBBQ3 жыл бұрын
Great question. The answer that I got from Pascal's Manale, which invented the recipe, is that it's just what they decided to name it for no particular reason. During that time, bbq sauces weren't as popular as they are now, so the interpretation of what a possible "New Orleans" type bbq sauce could be was just an open idea. Thank you for the great question, and I learned a little something myself on it. I appreciate the support.

Oh ok so I wonder if I were to really add some bbq sauce like the honey chipotle how would it come out

@@IamTyAdalis that might not be a bad idea. That's the awesome thing about recipes, you can make them however you like. I'm all for experimenting. I would suggest maybe just adding a little bit of the sauce the first time. Add more the 2nd time if you think it would be better.
