Trying to see about clinical trials
@vsst791911 ай бұрын
Can I participate in the trials if I live in Germany? Or should I come to USA to participate?

These trials are primarily based in the United States. To check eligibility and travel requirements, please visit mission-cure.org/new-pancreatitis-therapies-current-clinical-trials/ and reach out to the desired clinical trial.

Thank you for bringing hope to chronic pancreatitis. What is your view on stem cell therapy? I saw some clinics in China and Thailand doing this but not sure how effective can be. Indomethacin is also in clinical trials, is there a hope too? I saw another option in removing completely the exocrine pancreas via chemical like acid acetic. Is this also a viable solution?

There are a couple of clinical trials in the US that utilize stems cells that will be starting soon. We won't know for a while if it will work or not but we are excited that these trials are opening in the US soon. The indomethacin trial for chronic pancreatitis has completed enrollment. The data has not been reported yet. The primary objective of the clinical trial is to show reduction in inflammation. The secondary objective is reduction in pain and improvement in quality of life. We have been in touch with the researchers working on the chemical pancreatectomy, and they are continuing to work towards a clinical trial. We think this could be a good potential treatment.

What is your take on intermittent fasting for chronic pancreatitis patients having exocrine insufficiency? Thank you Thank you
@MissionCure Жыл бұрын
Intermittent fasting may be difficult for chronic pancreatitis patients, as certain nutrients all at once or in large amounts can trigger symptoms. Instead, its recommended that CP patients eat 6-8 small meals and snacks throughout the day.
