I would suggest getting arms xrayed. That is how I found out and it’s an early sign.

Is osteoporotic bone loss compounded when chronic pancreatitis (EPI), primary hyperparathyroidism, renal insufficiency, and total gastrectomy (secondary to NET) are experienced simultaneously? Do you think these comorbidities are connected despite a healthy lifestyle with good nutrition?

A healthy lifestyle and good nutrition are definitely factors that will positively influence overall health and well-being, but diseases, including Chronic Pancreatitis, have multiple causes. A progressive disease like CP represents an increased risk of EPI, bone disease, and other possible co-morbidities. For more detailed information about the complications associated with chronic pancreatitis, please visit our resource page: mission-cure.org/complications-of-chronic-pancreatitis/ We highly recommend consulting with a pancreas specialist and assembling a multidisciplinary care team to tailor the treatment to your specific needs.
