Today we got an early spring surprise with weather in the high 60s, so what better way to enjoy it than driving fence posts!
Our new 4.5 acre pasture is officially underway and it is going to take a lot of posts! ~200 to put it into perspective. While we're not going to bore you and show the entire thing, we wanted to get this project underway and show you the basics of driving fence posts, the timeless posts we're using, and discuss the some of our plans and layout strategies for this new sheep pasture.
The plan is sheep BUT ya never know what may end up here one day!
Thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed! Don't forget to give this video a like, share, and subscribe to our channel for much more of our homestead adventure.
Drop us some questions/comments below and we'll be sure to get back to you!

Man I’m jealous of those fields. My land is all recently clear cut land (as of 2020). It’s a nightmare dealing with tons of saplings and old pine stumps

Yeah we’re definitely excited for it. About as clean of a slate as you can ask for in terms of pasture. Have you considered pigs? They’ll take care of small saplings if you want them gone. The stumps not so much but they’ll definitely root up around them.

Hey Bud, Maine here. I have not had a chance to comment recently . I have been busy with work and expanding our farm. Posts are looking good, I will have to try them here. Not sure if they will work we have a crap ton of rocks and granite, so driving a post in is difficult; might have to use an auger first. Anyway, posts look good and you only have 100+ to put in haha.

Would be very difficult with lots of rock but like I said once they’re in they are great! And yes there’s a long way to go but we’ll get the job done haha
