I just got my Diamond 580 med nib on Apr 1 and filled it with Diamine Hope Pink ink. I was so disappointed in the feedback! It was so scratchy and loud when writing. I adjusted the tines and it's a little better. Ordered a new nib today! It's a beautiful pen for sure!

Dang, sorry to hear that about the feedback. Mine is my smooth and quiet....but the quiet part may be because I have a couple of LAMY pens that are SO FREAKING LOUD. I love them though - I like writing with them when I'm in a particular mood to "sound" confident. (even if I'm just making wild strokes on a piece of paper to entertain myself, lol)

Have always loved fountain pens. We had them back when I was in elementary and middle school. Problem was ink spills and leaking pens.
