Without going into spoiliers, Nahida being only able to see the world through dreams is actually even sadder than it seems at first. In Sumeru (Where Nahida is from) only children can dream, adults lose that ability later in life. Nahida can only interact with other dreamers, children, and then as they grow up into adults, she loose contact with them. Thats why you only saw other kids in her dreams.

I don't have time to watch this whole thing in one sitting, but I think you're the first person I've seen react to the char demos and teasers in one fell swoop. But to make you aware, that 1st trailer you saw of the Teyvat storyline, none of the chars shown are the Gods of that world, just chars from those specific regions. Still rewatching that trailer always amazes me simply because of just how far we've come in the story now. Hoyoverse HAD to have come up with the entire plotline before creating this game. And I can't imagine how long that took lol. FYI, this game has some big time VAs. That first trailer, the VA there is none other than Yuri Lowenthal, one of the pillars of English Voice acting (if you ask me). So yeah, no surprised you recognized that voice. He also always voices the Collected Miscellany, which are basically videos that talk about each char's move set in the game. A few things about the chars, they are either 4 star or 5 star chars. 5 stars tend to be the 'rarer' type of chars so at one point, you notice that certain demo trailers are more cinematic and longer than other videos, those are 5 stars. 4 star demos tend to be shorter. Like in the gatcha part of the game, you have several types of banners to "Wish" on. 2 are called Limited Time Banners and there's always a 5 star with three 4 star chars. Anyway I have go. I'll make more comments later.

The characters for "jiāngshī" are read goeng-si in Cantonese. The use of a talisman on its forhead is to make the corpses move by themselves for easier transportation. Talismans are written in vermillion which represents pure Yang energy. By tacking a talisman to the forehead of the corpse would enable the jiangshi to be controlled by the priest in doing whatever they order. But in Qiqi's case she gives herself the orders.

It has lots of books and you can research a lot of things when you're a student there, but there are things that people aren't allowed to research because of... well... can't say it because it's a spoiler. The origin of language (basically the history of language) is one of these disciplines that people aren't allowed to study, but there are hundreds of other disciplines that they can. Just watched your reaction. If you're wanting to get into gotcha games Genshin is a good one to start with. The art design and the story is great. Hoyo does amazing music. The weekly boss themes are so good you need to react to them as well. Some good tips on starting this game is that game progression is pretty time investing. - Always to your daily quests (commissions). - Don't start building too many characters that the start of the game (focus on using one team early game). - Don't let random people join your world, they'll just want your recourses (only let your friends join your world to help) - Lastly don't start artifact grinding until Adventure Rank (AR) 45. Hello! I enjoyed your reactions and hope you will play the game! The game has been out for 4 years now so there is a lot to catch on, what I want to say is that you won't be able to see every character, every region and understand all of the story right away, it will take some time. Me personally, i have been playing for 3 years and i am f2p, i don't have all characters and weapos but i still have lot of them, so by experience i can say is that you are not forced to pay to enjoy it. You can get characters and weapons by exploring the map, doing the events, getting achievements and a lot more, just plan which character you want to get beforehand! I also play Honkai Star Rail and Wuthering Waves, i highly reccommend watching their trailers and playing them as well! Hope to see your gameplay soon!

As a player since 2021, I can assure you it is a game worth playing - just take your time, and don't feel rushed to 'catch up' with the current version It's way better to enjoy at your own pace. All the music is FIRE!!! The story isn't bad at the start but the deep lore doesn't really hit until Sumeru, at least in my opinion. Also, you were pretty spot on with most of your assumptions!

Each region is loosely based on real world regions/cultures. Mondstadt- Germany with a bit of England, in a fantasy medieval Europe setting Liyue- Ancient China Inazuma - Shogunate Japan and various islands Sumeru - Egypt, Mesopotamia, India, with a bit of Greek. And it’s not just Latin America, it involves tribes not affiliated with Latin culture. Fir example, Kachina is the name of a Hopi spirit, and Chasca’s tribe is “Wild West” themed (though you could make an argument for that to be Mexican)

@@FabledsNook I'll wait patiently for your gameplay, then. Looking forward to it. I'm a huge nerd of all things Genshin, and lately I've been entering the rabbithole that is the whole Hoyoverse. It's like an extended multiverse, where a lot of themes and characters are recurring with different iterations and very similar-but-not-the-same personal stories. They are officially part of the same universe (so-to-say, because universe hopping, bubble universes, and etc, are a thing), and even a major character in Honkai Impact 3rd is a playable character in Honkai Star Rail. The world of Genshin is also part of it, and we've already have a character with a Honkai-like design appear in Genshin. We don't know if she IS actually from another world, but she uses "power from another world". ZZZ is not part of that extended universe, though, and is its own thing. It's been very interesting to me to dig and watch stuff about the recurring characters, and I think I'll make some compilations of my favourite one, Raiden Mei aka Raiden Shogun aka Ei aka Acheron. And maybe some others too. I said that because maybe you could do reactions of those games as well. HI3 is older but have some cool s**t, while HSR is newer and their animated shorts are also produced by Ufotable, so you can guess the quality of them. Ufotable is also producing Genshin's anime series, with release TBA.

Another thing I remembered... you were at some points questioning about some characters being evil or good... well, apart some few characters there aren't truly evil or truly good in Genshin. To be honest, to this day we still don't know who is the true villain/antagonist of the story, and we're already past midpoint. Almost all big factions have at some point been our antagonists and at some point our allies in local conflicts. Even the Fatui, the organization whose trailer you said that they seemed like an evil organization... though the means differ, it looks like our major interests kind of align, though at the same time not exactly... it's really hard to pinpoint and say "we are at this side of the conflict" (though some voices of the community are very quick to take a side). There is one huge exception, though. The Doctor ("Il Dottore"). He's definitively Evil, with a big E. I don't think you'll finde anyone more despicable than him in this game.
