I bought an Enoch Deep Six chassis for my one inch diameter bull barrel 10-22 with an integral suppressor. It has a 1913 picatinny rear machined into the chassis. The straight buffer tube adapter allowed me to use any AR adjustable stock and gave me the length of pull that I required. Excellent product.

Looks great and is great value for the cost. I’m hoping it locks up better under recoil than the SB tactical one. I love that these are pretty modular and I really like the option for the one with buffer tube storage. I’ve been trying to do a homemade design like that for years now.

@Joshua Bressel that’s good to know but my buddy had the same brace on his PSA AKV and one of his AK pistols and the hinge mechanism kept coming unlocked for me while shooting it. I’ve never run into that with folding braces or sticks before. Maybe he got a batch with a weak spring or a locking mechanism that had its machining tolerances off or something.

@@operator1192 Was your friends the polymer or aluminum version? I believe I recall reading somewhere they updated the hinge as a gen2 version, although it isn’t marked differently from the gen1 which had problems folding.

@@sethrich5998 I can’t remember now, I want to say I believe it was aluminum. He got an AKV not long after they were released and had that same brace and hinge on both the 7.62x39 AK pistol and the PSA AKV

@@operator1192 Yeah I think they updated the hinge sometime recently. I’m pretty sure that folding issue is resolved now from what I read on some forums. Especially if your friends was soon after they originally came out.

@@sethrich5998 maybe I’ll have to give them another shot. Honestly Sig, StormWerks, and LawTactical all have rock solid folding adapters or stocks that never have come loose on me under even heavy recoil so I hope their design locks up better now.

SB brace looks and feels Cheap and flimsy in comparison to the MI folding stock. In addition, there are many videos of the SB brace folding under recoil with the PC Charger. They might have made a patch for that now, but honestly, how would you know you got one that is updated? Just do yourself a favor and get the MI folding stock, its substantial, built like a tank and will definitely last.

This is really a tell how marketing strategy made impact on ppl decision making. I also found out most of the popular brands, both firearms and accessories, are overestimated.

How does the buffer tube work? I mean with the attachment blocking the end, how would the BCG push the buffer back? I must be missing something.

This isn't for the AR-15 operating mechanism. This is for things like the BRN-180 or the Sig MCX.

This is for weapons that don't use a buffer tube so they can mount an AR stock or brace. If you have an AR or something that needs a buffer, spring, and tube, this will not work for that. This is for an AK for example that can use folding stocks or braces

Folding mechanisms tend to add weight and POTENTIALLY introduce a weak point (though not necessarily). If you don't have a specific purpose FOR a folding stock, I'd say it's not unreasonable to use a fixed one.

I can’t tell if this dude is compressing the folding mechanism when he’s deploying the beam at the begging of the video. I have an sig folding stock and I love that you can deploy it quickly no monkeying around w the folding mechanism at the back while deploying just throw it open and shoot. This is for an AR 22 build and I know I could go with a polymer folding stock, but they just seems flimsy and shitty and while you’re shooting it it doesn’t feel solid and stable….. trust me I would rather go with something other than a Midwest industries, folding beam and a tail hook brace because together they are somewhere around $280 plus tax plus shipping. That’s obscene. it’s really not that big of a deal to make these parts and they should not be costing 300 or $400 to have a folding pistol brace adapter Sig sauer also makes a folding brace the original pretty much that the SB tactical was based on. And I believe that one also locks in position folded instead of staying under tension…..

Sorry but this whole system is a rip off, 129 for the folding mechanism with shaft(no complaints) BUT then another 126 for the gear head works brace? That’s almost 300 bucks for that set up. I’ll pass and get the SB tactical aluminum variant. These prices are getting insane. It’s literally some cheap metal and plastic

Are you talking about the SB1913 metal brace? I just bought a GHM9 6.9in and I’ been looking for a brave and I seen the SB 1913 on a guys KZbin but he was having issues with it folding while shooting it but he said that SB has fixed the issue since? Do you have this particular SBbrace ?
